It stipulates in the FAQs that "If you cancel your contract early, XOOM needs to offset the cost of selling the unused portion of your energy to others. The cost recovery fee covers this cost and any other expenses we incur because of your cancellation" which is one month in my case. So why would I get a bill for an early termination fee of $110. it should be 1/12 of $110.
This just shows you that North American Power was the right choice as they are lower and don't have an early termination fee. What a SCAM!!!!

Zoom promises PG&E customers big savings on natural gas. We found out that hard way, that is completely untrue and misleading. You discover that although your cost per therm ( they call this "generation" ) is lower with Xoom than with PG&E directly, PG&E continues to charge you for " distribution" and "transmission". So, you must pay charges from both Xoom AND PG&E! Your new total is much higher than it was directly with PG&E!! Here is the language in their " Terms And Conditions" that justifies the ripoff:

" You are responsible for all charges assessed and billed by your local utility for gas transportation charges payable for Core Aggregation Services and all other applicable utility charges, which are not included in your rate".

Xooms marketing of this service is incredibly unconscionable, and deceptive. Call PG&E customer service and they will explain it to you exactly as I have. Unbelievable.

Avoid this company or you will be sorry. Like many on this complaint board I was selling Xoom through ACN. This is the worst company I have ever done business with! Not only do they try to scam you with fraudulent bills. Also with contract extentions. I moved after approx. 6 months of signing up with Xoom. Since they are not a real electric company they cannot move your service or start new service, so when I called them they instructed me to start my service at my new address with a legitimate electric company and then they would switch it over. After a long conversation with them about my concerns of them trying to extend my contract to the move in date rather when when my service started with them I was assured this would not happen. Guess what ? thats exactly what happend. So get this: they cant move your service, but your are in a one year contract, so you will have to pay the giant "cost recovery fee" if you dont transfer the service at your new address with them, if you do transfer , then your contract is automatically extended one year from the "new" service date. What a bunch of crooks!!!! Don't even think about calling customer service, you can not talk to a live person, just leave a message and they might get back to you in 4-5 days. The worst part? If you have xoom, be sure to look at your december bill very carefully, my bill was double what it should for two years running now for the month of december, as was everyone I have sold xoom energy to. all of them complaining about their december bill, anyone who lives in Texas knows that August will be your biggest electic bill of the year, but with xoom, december will double your highest bill of the year. I have since quit doing business with ACN and may have to get a lawyer to get rid of Xoom. NEVER AGAIN ACN OR XOOM!!!

Another ACN Scam! FRAUD - They charge twice as much as the gas company and you still get billed for both!

Xoom allowed someone to sign me up for their product without my consent. My bill was higher than it would have been with PG&E based on the fact I am at poverty level for income. Xoom has refused to refund any portion of my bill and all I asked them for was $10. I can guarantee no one will ever hear me say a kind word about the staff I have been forced to deal with at Xoom and the company as a whole.

I am an ACN independant business owner and i do understand that with any company there will always be mixed reviews. I do agree that there has to be a scoundrel whom you may know and has illegally transfered your service. As an IBO of ACN we can not garuntee a savings for your gas and/or electric, so YES Xoom energy may not be your choice for savings...however, the key being that you now have a choice. ACN is a wonderful company and has changed my families life for the better as well as many others i know. This company is very much legal and legit and not for everyone. Think outside the "pyramid" not box. Just remember, people always comment on the bad and never the good. For every 1 complaint, there are 100 satisfied customers. For the person with the original complaint, there should be an ibo number attached to your account through acn and if there is that person needs to be reported to acn for disiciplinary actions. ACN will not tollerate this persons actions. I wish you luck

Have XOOM gas in Southern Calif. Xoom's prices are higher than the regular gas company as soon as you sign on. A total rip off as is ACN.

I do get a bill only from Xoom Energy, and not from Centerpoint Energy anymore. There are some states that may receive useage bills from Xoom, AND distribution bills from their own local carrier, but that is not the case in Texas. Yes, I am a certified dealer of Xoom, and I also use their service, because they are really good, and I've saved a lot of money with them. If I was not satisfied with their service, I would never have written a great review on them. first of all there is deregulation.you have the power to choose where you get you electric or gas.your utility company doesn't own gas or electric.they just are there to transport it to your home or business.there are a lot of companies out there to choose from.i think it is your utility companies fault because xoom energy gets paid from your utility company and it appears on your same bill.

According to their website they do send out a bill as well as you continue to get a bill from SoCal Gas..the people who are posting in favor are probably apart of FHTM ...lol google this pyramid scheme
