The app is just awful. It makes me sign in even though it says on the screen that I’m signed in with my provider. It cuts to commercials & chops off part of the shows. Tonight I gave it another try and after it cut to commercial & after it ran the ads it kicked me back to the home page. When I restarted it made me watch the 5 commercials again. Next commercial break same thing. Needless to say I’ll never see the rest of that show. Also the amount of commercial breaks seem to be more than the show time. It’s a shame, they have some things I’m interested in ( not Pawn Stars and American Pickers which seem to be 90+% of their live programming) but the app experience is unbearable. I loaded the app just to watch Oak Island on my schedule but it’s less stressful to arrange my schedule to watch it live through my cable. Also I miss H2.

You guys are the only channel left still operating in the stone age. EVERY other channel has added live options to their apps so you can watch their channel live OR they upload that evening's episode BEFORE it airs for streamers to watch. Yeah, I even have your app unlocked with a cable script and you deny me these options. Get a clue and catch up with the time, more and more people stream more with Roku, fire stick, etc. Nobody will watch your programming if you don't give a live option and make your viewers wait to see a new episode until AFTER you air it. 0 stars, 1 out of 10, you guys suck, get a clue

The History Channel and the History Vault both suck - I've tried accessing shows both ways. After 3 episodes you are lock out. No help on their website, no help on the apps. Why start a series if you can only see the first 3 episodes???

I attempted to watch the recent docu-series concerning Julius Caesar. I last about 10 minutes. The historical inaccuracy is appalling. I am now attempting Barbarians Rising--same, uninformed tripe that really erodes History Channel credibility. The ACTUAL stories--the TRUTHS of these events are compelling enough. Half-assed research flies in the face of reason. It's HISTORY--TELL THE TRUTH!

Please rename the channel to something more appropriate; there is no history here. Shows about d-bags with beards living on mountains, making swords, and livign alone is not history. Shows that take non-fact about aliens and present it as fact is not history. There are good shows, but The concentration is on these completely intolerable shows. Maybe your Nielsen ratings are wrong, because I highly doubt anyone likes these. Get your act together or get off the air.

The programming on your channel sucks now and is completely devoid of anything to do with history. It is an insult to call it history and the programming is moronic and repetative. Watching a movie on Viceland through directv and shocked they showed two children cursing and singing a horrible "not my president" song. This trash should not be on television. I dont know what this world is coming to....my grandchildren should not be subjected to this garbage.

This channel is just plain garbage, my child does not need to see S&M on commercials and being forced to watch or listen to political propaganda, glorification of drug abuse and just plain trash and the classless subject matter is disgusting. I am all about free speech but promoting bad behavior and drug use it taking it a little to far. Take this garbage off the air. What a disgrace.

The History Channel used to be great. It was always a go-to option for something interesting on tv. For the past number of years, tho, the programming has been on a continuous decline. You keep adding more & more ridiculous reality shows. Every tv station should start purging their reality shows. No one needs to see the lowest common denominators across the country. When I turn on THC, I expect to see a history program on. I was pleased when we moved, as H2 was available to us, & it was more of what I was looking for. Now, it’s gone, & I have this stupid Viceland channel that provides nothing of interest & is only one more channel to sail on past. I’m sick to death of giving THC another try, only to always have an episode of Ancient Aliens pop up. GET REAL!! You used to be better than this. You need to get back to your original mission.

I am so sick of this stupid, low-budget show. It is boring and I refuse to continue watching these men take advantage of people and ripping them off. This show is a novelty crap fest and is beneath the integrity of the History channel. Every time I try to watch the HC, this show is on all day long!!!. I watch the history channel to learn about different aspects of history, culture, architecture, and people. This is a junk show, nothing more. Viceland is another pos show! I am a "millennial," though I despise that term, and I can't stand that new Viceland channel. I think I may watch a percentage of the shows on it if you wouldn't have taken H2 offline. That was the ONLY channel with anything educational. The History channel used to have good programming, but now the only thing the network exec's care about are ratings and their bottom line. I watched the History channel slowly fade away, but I always had a glint of hope because of H2. But, now the only thing that's left of any "history channels" is all these new ridiculous shows shows about re-doing cars and ill-conceived made-for-tv movies with a certain, not so endearing je ne sais quas, or fake blacksmithing shows. Please bring H2 back and quit trying to be like all the cool kids by making all these atrocious cookie cutter reality shows. They're not working anymore, at least not for the demographic that the history channels were, used to and should be reaching out to.

P.S. You have a responsibility to the millennials that you are trying to cater to educate them (us.) instead of attempting to choke us with material that we like for entertainment, how about adjusting programming to make the millennials WANT to watch shows that will teach them something and make them think critically, and outside the box. Please bring back H2. Viceland is a bunch of trash...I've never found one show I wanted to watch. I don't know who is in charge of your programming, but this was a huge mistake. I was in Costa Rica last year, and they still have H2, so you're still broadcasting it. Maybe you can put H2 on after 6 o'clock in the evening. Please consider it. Thank you.

Viceland is the one channel that has never had anything on it I would chose to watch. Please bring back H2, or put it on another channel. If I had an option, I'd never pay for this new channel. it's nothing but trash. Consider bringing H2 back, or put the shows that H2 had on Viceland.

H2 was taken off the air in our area about a year ago and replaced with Viceland. The Viceland channel was so pathetic that it has now been taken off the air in our area. Bring back the educational H2 channel with all the excellent shows that aired. Right now all it is, is dead air. You can also get rid of the American Pickers show, that show is getting very sickening to watch! Please let us all see some great programming from A&E just to let us know intelligent people still work there.

Swamp people is a show that glorifies violent killing of innocent creatures. By bringing it back the history channel showed me they are not going to stop sliding in the wrong direction. i have watched this stations subject matter steadily decline as well as channels similair to it. Where is the history? YOU ARE MAKING HISTORY AND IT IS NOT GOOD! People already make comparisons between mtv and history channel...how mtv had music at one time...how the history channel used to have quality programs about historical events. Now they pander to the lowest common denominator like many other cheap networks do. How long will it be before the history channel is showing jerry springer reruns? The good thing is we have the freedom to BOYCOTT any and all products or services advertised on the history channel. I have done this before and now i will add the history channel to the list because i dont forsee this channel ever showing decent informational content ever again. You're channel in the Roku is AWFUL! Not only is it unstable but commercials are randomly played interrupting the episode or show be watched. And the NUMBER of commercials is disgusting! 3 then 6 and then the last 3 of the 6 are the same commercial!!!? Are you serious! I'd rather DVR than use your channel on Roku. You suck period!

Unfortunately, just completed watching a show for the first time on this channel. While the program was a decent re-run, I found the majority of the commercial's content to be nothing but immature and racist diatribe that was attempting to pander to either the ignorant/uninformed masses and/or people that believe that their liberal education and lifestyles or lack there of allow them to try to promote anarchy without any fear of lawful repercussions. The proverbial "belief" pendulum appears to be nearing the center of mass which is a good sign for all Americans. Should this in fact be the case, I sincerely hope that all can start to promote peaceful civility among one another and actually try and resolve significant matters for the betterment of our entire society without compromising any faction's realistic and supportable ideals. However, regarding Viceland's pig slop questionable commercials, it is my humble opinion that Viceland could be attempting to do nothing more than try to incite violence among all which is pathetic and small minded. I for one will exercise the power of the channel changer regarding this station until a level playing field is presented for all viewers for the betterment of our society.
