What a horrible channel! Viceland sucks! What a brilliant idea; let's take a channel that educates people on subjects of substanance and replace it with Viceland that is nothing but crap! This was truly a moronic decision and I hope Viceland is a huge failure.

What is wrong with you morons making these stupid decisions getting rid of H2 and giving us that crap....Viceland? Fire the team who thought this up since they aren't worth having as employees anywhere!

Replacing History 2 with Viceland is the worst idea ever? H2 was a channel for the entire family. Viceland Programs Noisey (the rap gang life), Gaycation Balls Deep, weedetiquette using drugs are cool. How can you explain that kind of Crap to your kids? A&E Logic in replacing H2 with Viceland is the same as replacing Sesame Street with the Playboy Channel. I totally agree with boycott the sponsor and pressure DirecTV to drop the channel or move the channel somewhere between 575 to 599 (adult programs). Where is the FCC?

BRING BACK H2 PLEASE!

Eliminating H2 is very unsettling. Viceland is absolutely horrible. A&E has made a huge programming blunder.

It was difficult enough to find alternative shows to watch on the days/nights the non-History shows were on. Yard sale fanatics traveling, various assorted pawn deals rerun over and over again, people speaking English so poorly it requires captions, and overly aggressive lumberjacks arguing constantly does not appeal to me or anyone I know as entertainment. It got even worse when H2 was replaced by what is arguably the most most ridiculously offensive channel I've tried to watch. Viceland. Since we lost H2, History now not only shows those few (limited appeal) shows, but shows them in rapid-fire marathon succession. How many times does anyone think it is entertaining to see the same poor guy's disappointment that his autograph isn't authentic? It's almost as if there is a purposeful attempt to direct viewers elsewhere. And I have news for you. It's working.

Way to go A & E. I'd rather watch the test pattern screen than anything on Viceland. You're just f 'ing with us right??? So we pay more for a channel we like, because it had high ratings? Why don't you just tell us that? There isn't one repetitive program on this channel that is entertaining at all. Actually I loved your pre-start up, call in show. If you must continue with this channel please remove all of your crappy shows and just have a 24/7 call in. It's the only way you'll survive. You're thinking is so flawed. It's time to cut the cord. History Channel's decision to swap H2 for Vice Land could possibly be one of the worst network changes in history!!! I really tried to give Vice Land a fair shake and even though none of the program's seemed like any type of subject matter I would be interested I forced myself to sit through several nauseating episodes of Vice Lands line up only to realize this is possibly the worst channel on my cable lineup. I have been paying extra to my cable provider for the Discovery and History Networks. I am literally thinking about cancelling my subscription and going to Internet tv. The H2 app is good but it's just not the same as sitting down in front of my tv after work and knowing I will find something interesting on H2. Please either come to your senses or fire the exec that made the choice to cancel H2!!! There is no way I am going to continue paying extra for Vice Lands garbage lineup!!!

After following ancient aliens and UFO shows for years, I'm now confronted with Viceland with a host of shows which are unwatchable. To make matters worse, all the shows I used to watch on H2 are gone. (Nowhere can I find ancient aliens.) These programs weren't moved, they were dropped! History channel lied to us. As a result I no longer watch anything that History has to offer, and forget about Viceland. I have no use of it.

The Vice channel is so unwatchable, I had to remove it from my DirecTV favorites. The History channel became nothing but the Pawn Star channel years ago and now has nothing to with History or anything intelligent. The Vice channel seems to only have some show called Gaycation on all the time, which is fine if you are gay, but completely boring if you are not. There already is Lego and Bravo, is there really a need for another Gay tv channel? I thought Vice was supposed to appeal to Millennials, but I guess you forgot that Millennials spend all their time staring into phones and not watching tv. Vice also just repeats the same shows over and over, it's like they have 4 hours of new content per week and everything else is just a repeat of that 4 hours. H2 had some interesting and informative shows and it didn't seem to have a political agenda, it will be sadly missed. What a waste.

I've called my cable provider everyday to complaint about the sh*t & trashy viceland channel that has taken the place of our beloved H2 educational & entertaining programs. Besides voicing my opinion here I've gone directly to viceland.com, scrolled to the bottom of their page & clicked on "Contact". I ve been able to send them emails complaining about their programming. I feel that if we band together & keep voicing our opinion a change has to happen.

After all this is America we have a right to watch what we want & not be forced to watch someone's idea of "good" programming. If there is an audience for that trash then let them get their own channel & let us keep our H2.

If anyone finds another website, email or phone number to complain about viceland please share it via this complaint board, until some CEO realizes their mistake & brings back our favorite channel!

What the fu*k were you thinking? There is literally nothing else to watch on TV with substance. Pawn stars owns the other history channel and it's just crap. Devoting a whole channel to this crap is pointless. It isn't just "growing pains of a new channel". It's just sh*t tv that no one cares to watch. You'll get a couple hipsters watching it but that's about it, but the thing is the other half of hipsters don't even pay for cable in the first place so why cater to them?? I know it sounds crazy but there are people out there that like to watch educational tv. My TV was set to h2 the whole time I watched tv. Turn it on and I'd make sure it was on channel 323

Regarding your use of Bill Hicks' voice and routine in your ad campaign- it's beautifully done and your programming looks very smart and compelling; however, as a Bill Hicks fan, I'm FURIOUS at Viceland for using Hicks' work for any kind of ad or marketing. Bill Hicks of all people?! Really, really tone deaf idea and off putting to any Hicks fan, or anyone that remembers what Hicks has said about marketing and marketers- as he made those thoughts perfectly clear in his lifetime.

I'm so enraged by it that a part of me wants to boycott the entire channel even though the new programming seems to be right up my alley.

Vineland sucks pure and simple.... Gave it a chance for a couple of shows and my conclusion is it has to be the worst thing on cable. This is what you replaced my H2 channel with? You people are idiots. Was your focus group on dope? Hope you loose big time for this decision.

Viceland has managed to put together the most depressing and nauseating amalgam of programming on TV today. Before sitting down to write this complaint, I decided to ask friends, family and colleagues their opinions on this channel. To keep my survey as fair as possible I made sure to include as many different ages in my group as possible, which fell within the age bracket demographic being touted by A&E.

Out of a group that eventually reached 64 in number, not one single person found this channel worth watching. The younger half of my survey base found the channel in general to be “boring” and “derivative”, while the older participants found the channel “disgusting”, “depressing” and “disturbing” in general. Many other descriptors were bandied about by all age groups in my informal survey, however, they were all of a negative nature. One person, aged 24, summed up the group’s general reaction in one perfect word … Sucks.

It would be very nice indeed if the forces in charge of presenting Viceland would take a closer look at what they’ve wrought and take steps to correct this crime against the TV watching public. As others on this board have indicated I too am watching AHC and History now and so no reason to ever watch Viceland.

How could Viceland have replaced H2? Viceland is the saddest excuse for a channel I've ever seen. As if the country isn't in a sad enough state, do we really need a channel to show us all just EXACTLY how bad it is? Please bring H2 back, there are plenty of us out there that want to watch something worthwhile on cable.

Not only have you killed the most interesting channel on TV, you have replaced it with shows not appropriate for kids. Every kid knows the local channel number for H2. Now when they go to it they are greeted with losers, negativity and drugs. WAY TO GO! At least have enough common sense to do it on a different channel number. That is like replacing Nickelodeon with porn. Idiots!

I for one am cancelling my TV and sticking with internet only. I get to chose what I and my kids watch. There is absolutely no point of paying hundreds of dollars a year for garbage TV, with irrelevant ads and only negative news. There is no good news anymore. I don't remember ever turning on the news in the morning before work and watching something that made me feel good. I can get all the weather and news from the internet without bias media bs anyways. The original H or (H1) channel and programming is so boring. It is not even history most of the time! They have more restoration and car shows on there than the speed channel. If I have to watch another episode of Pawn Stars I will go crazy. This channel is not educational anymore and H2 filled a big void in the programming.

Major fail on A&E and network television in general. Discontinuing H2 was the final nail in the coffin. Maybe there is not enough of us "H2 nuts" to make a difference, but it only shows you how dumb the world has become for wanting to watch negative shows about drugs and "Balls Deep" problems versus a show about how "The Universe" got created which provokes thought. Sad really.

I used to watch the H2 channel due to interesting content even though it often was about 'ancient aliens. Now that it's Vice I avoid it after seeing the content which seems to promote all things vile. It needs to be trashed.

And also, don't forget National Geographic channel... They have some great educational programming... There's two for everyone to check out... American Heroes channel and National Geographic Channel.

I have been reading other posts about how bad this channel really is, and I keep see the recurring theme of "trying to reach the 17-45 age groups." Well, I'll tell you what... I fall into this age grouping, and I can say- it is NOT a hit. Not with me or any of my friends, coworkers, friends-friends, coworkers- friends, or even younger twenty-somethings... Not one person says they are enjoying this channel... None, Nada.

Everyone switch to AHC (AMERICAN HEROES CHANNEL- channel 285 on direct TV... They at least have everything history, and educational. This viceland channel is not only trash TV, but it's boring TV.

I cannot believe H2 got replaced by the unwatchable viceland... I had no idea what to expect when it was being advertised, and I figured it would be about on the same par with some sort of history type programming. The line up is absolutely boring to watch. Not one single program is interesting. Who wants to watch a gay person show how it is to live as a gay in Japan? I don't even think the LBGT community would be willing to watch an hour of that boredom. So basically you guys didn't add viceland... You just removed a channel from the air. I have not talked to anyone who likes this channel, haven't seen anyone on the web who likes it, and I damn sure haven't heard anyone say "HEY, DID YOU SEE THAT ON GAYCATION LAST NIGHT." Cut your loses now because that would be your gain.

H2 rebranded as VICELAND Tv is pure VILE TRASH with shows such as Noisey (the rap gang life), Gaycation ( which belongs on LOGO), B. Deep, formerly Balls Deep - how do you explain that to your kids? The Millenial demographic Viceland is tArgeting thinks everything should be free ( and vote for Bernie) and don't have good jobs, homes, or pay heavy taxes to support those that are too stoned to work or are illegal aliens.
H1 runs constant no brain trash shows such as Pawn Stars, Swamp People, and Picking. It has no more World History! It's just reality trash shows now. This liberal Bernie generation with no values is reflected in the Viceland programming. No wonder this country is failing! But I see Viceland has rebranded my old DVR recorded UFO Files H2 shows from H2 to VICELAND to get credit for shows they are not showing and to boost their ratings!!!

H2 was my favorite channel and I enjoyed a wide variety of shows including Archaelogy, history, Bible history, Ancient Aliens, UFO files, and more. I miss the programs and now have little to watch on DISH. I have deleted H1 and H2 from my DISH program list.
