A&E Networks what are you doing?

Okay Dubec really screwed the pooch on this one. She may have risen up the ranks to CEO and that is admirable, however the decision to buy Vice Media and change The History Channel 2 to Viceland is one big fail. Why would someone want to take a channels programming that has years of great success and ratings then turn it into filthy street propaganda for exactly what this society is trying to remove from our cities.

This new effort to entice the younger viewers by broadcasting this trash is reprehensible. Why would you want to make this trash more prevalent? Sure the younger set doesn't want something a 50 or 60 year old would want to watch, but really why this trash? Even MTV is cleaning up its programming a bit and getting rid of some of the slimier bits of their programming. You would have thought that you could have taken a hint from MTV instead of launching this bomb. And, you still didn't get a clue from Duck Dynasty. How dumb can you be? I mean really? Clean up the programming and you will get younger viewers. You just need to make the programming interesting instead of making it bloody and drug ridden for lack of good writers and a good budget and they will come.

To top it off... to try and hide its ridiculously poor performance Nielsen ratings for the channel are being restricted for the first six months in order to, and I quote "Viceland is attempting to manage perception." Well let me tell you that will be one tall order and holding back the Nielsen ratings won't help that sinking ship.

Viceland is and will be a one giant fail for A&E Networks and Ms. Dubec. I hope she takes a hit for buying this trash network, Vice Media, to begin with and then she takes another hit for going forward with Viceland.

I was shocked to see H2 gone and this Viceland was in its place. I thought maybe it was something wrong with my channel selection and it got moved. to my disappointment I see this is not the case after I searched the web. Please return H2! If anything make H2 better not remove it. Hell, I watched the reruns just to watch history. I hardly watch the History channel because as you can see there is not really history on it. All I see is Pawn Stars, Swamp People, etc, Did someone purposely sabotage this network? And then bring this horrible crap (Viceland)? Gosh, if you need direction on what shows to produce for history, all you had to do was ask your viewers. If money is that desperate, your history channel viewers would have helped produced new material or donations for you. Please, quickly return H2! I will not be watching Viceland at all. You lost me as a viewer and supporter.

I (wrongly) assumed the History would reduce its all day reruns of shows like swamp people and instead add in the H2 shows. As a person who is often awake all night, I also incorrectly assumed History would quit running infomercials between 4-7 am. They lied! No shows have been added to History.

There are no alternative channels for shows relating to history. You have the entire market. Please tell me you can do better. At the very least add more H2 shows in the current History line up and do away with 3 hours of infomercials. I know you're adding more viewers who are addicts of some sort or have other human issues and want to see others like themselves. That's fine. Seems to me there are plenty of other options for that on your other channels but I don't work for you or see the numbers. I'm just trying to represent those who enjoy things to do with Earth history. There were enough to support 2 channels at least for some time. I'm just asking for a fair mix on the remaining History channel rather than all day runs of swamp people, American pickers, pawn stars and the like.

I did a search for Ancient Aliens on the Direct TV menu. No shows are upcoming! Fortunately I have some on the DVR but that isn't sufficient. Bottom line, the commercials were lies

The United States of America is a great nation founded on morals and ethics. Vineland is a culprit leading and adding to its demise with lowlife trash along with Logo.

If you are not a part of the solution to make the US great you are a part of the problem.

A&E has a moral duty to lead by example with moral and ethical viewing. Channels like H2 did this.

Just when I had a channel that I can like, History 2, someone who thinks that they know what's good for us changes
everything around.
I enjoyed the educated and informative programs on H2.
I don't really care for any of the programming on this so called Viceland.
Now, I finally have good reason to dump my cable.

A&E and TIME WARNER CABLE. Bring back H2 programming. TWC I SPECIFICALLY signed up for an additional cable package just so I could get H2. I'll be cancelling soon. Viceland is garbage.

I agree with everyone's comments and can give a big 'Amen". There are way too many reality shows as it is that I don't watch, so I won't be watching this worthless channel now. H2 was indeed showing very interesting programs, now with whatever it is they call programming taking its place, I am considering cancelling my satellite altogether. Bring back the original H2 channel, because I hope this Viceland fails miserably.

It's a crying shame that in this day and time of mindless and politically correct TV programming that A&E networks has replaced an educational and interesting channel with yet another price of idiotic drivel. Aren't we already bombarded constantly with liberalism and silly reality programing. It makes me just want to throw a brick through my TV screen. TWC you need to bring this channel back before I cancel my services. I am looking for alternatives. Also please train your personnel so they know what to tell customers. The person helping me had no clue of the change and said you guys are still changing them. She said to wait a week. I know the changes are done and I am loosing all my H2 programs.

Viceland is HORRIBLE! I used to love H2 with WWII shows, Ancient Aliens, HISTORY... This is bull. Who wants to watch a bunch of geeky hipsters talk about weed and music, drugs and all this other crap. I'm pissed. I go over to the normal History Channel to see if anything good is on and it's stupid Ax Men or hillbillies shooting alligators. Can't believe you guys took away one of my favorite channels.

I have deleted all of the A&E connected channel's even the one I watch the most The History channel. I ask that all of the people with " Moral Pride" do the same.I've already complained to AT&T that I have to pay for this CRAP!!!!The shameful thing is that A&E thinks that this type of programming has a audience thats worth reaching.Let's see what happens when the sponsors take the hit. The demographic that you are trying to reach doesn't have the money or influence like the demographic that watched HISTORY 2 does. History channel, you messed up big time with this Vice channel. I've had enough of this liberal, gay and lesbian culture being shoved I'm my face. Enough is Enough! The H2 channel used to command 80% of my viewing time, with it gone and this Vice chitt in its place I guess the History channel, Vice and A&E will now get 0.00% of my tv time. So long idiots ... !!!

The new Viceland channel is terrible, nothing of interest. The old H2 channel was great. I have now removed Viceland from my channel lineup. You will soon feel it in your add revenues!

Well, Viceland is certainly the crappiest thing on TV I have seen in years. H2 wasn't that good either with every human invention and success being the result of alien clowns. So, even H2 and the regular H channel are junk with History slapped on just for giggles. Big tuna, big foot, picking junk, bartering junk. Jeez! Watching that junk once in a while is ok for comic relief but to have channels only deliver that as their core is just as bad as viceland itself. If you can try the Smithsonian channel, plenty of original shows with real history, no aliens, so far.
