Charges for data roaming

Last month I have been complaining for the charges on data roaming which i have never used in Singapore. After i got the advises from your staff, I haven not been enabling data usage on my mobile number 0176715220 in Singapore. Today i check on the OCS that i am charged for RM152 which i believe is the data roaming which i have not been activated for. Your service really terrible and horrible. please look back my January bill, i don't even have single charge for data roaming. Just now i contacted your celcom service center and i got a rude response from your lady staff. please be professional on service.

Charge for unused data plan

I had exactly the same problem as some of the complaints that I read here. I am celcom users for many years. I have been relocated to Bangkok since 9 months ago and everything just fine until recently.
I first had my line barred due to usage exceed credit limit.
I later found out from my bill about the RM38 per day for DDR (data roaming) without my knowledge and consent.
I have home wifi in Bangkok and my iPhone 6+ mobile data has been OFF at all times. I maintained the Malaysia line just for some online transactions that need OTP and also for social network, which I only used wifi and not my mobile data.
Celcom had admitted that once I am overseas, the RM38 subscription charges kicks in even with my MOBILE DATA OFF.
This whole tricks were done behind the scene where user is totally not being notified at all.
Apart from that, they also charged multiple roaming charges that is no basis,
This is ridiculous and of no business ethics.
Worst part, they did not count the data charges into the total credit limit allowed, as the officer said, if they block based on the limit, then customer can not surf. This truly doesn't make sense. If the biggest part of the usage was not included in the total credit allowable, then what is the point of having the credit limit? Just to ease them to charge unlimitedly. My bill is now more than double of my credit limit.

Celcom charged data roaming which i NEVER use

I was charged RM266 for the data roaming which i never used in SRI LANKA my recent trip. RM76 (equals to 2 days of RM38) in my billed amount and another RM190 ( equals to 5 days of RM38) in my unbilled amount. I received a SMS saying I have used RM190 on the new cycle, to the shock of my life, I never call, never receive any calls, never sms and neber on my mobile data. I immediately turned on airplane mode and the charges stop at RM190.

And it proofs me right, once connect to roaming service, Celcom will charge us RM38 per day even you never turn on the mobile data.

My travelling companion was charged the same. We bought LOCAL SIM CARD everytime we travel to and put it inside another phone to use as WiFi hotspots.

Something just so WRONG! CELCOM Technical team must check on this matter urgently! I will not pay for the service I never use!

Data roaming

I have been charged almost RM300 for the data roaming which i never used in JAKARTA during 5 days business trip.
It seems to me , this local provider XL or CELCOM once connect to roaming will charge us RM38 per day even you never turn on the mobile data.
Therefore I turned on airplane mode when i reached Jakarta since this Monday and unbilled amount RM 0.
Until this morning i turned on the roaming due to Payment through internet need OTP
and I worried it will charge me RM38 again
So i checked again my bill after Lunch. And "BOOM", it really charge RM38 for data roaming even though i never turn on it and all the while is in WIFI mode.
Something just so WRONG after January 2016, i believe either is celcom or XL provider in Indonesia do such stupid setting to charge customer

Data roaming

I'm a CELCOM user, after using my line a few months without problems I was suddenly charged RM114.50 for data roaming usage while I NEVER ON data roaming function on my phone, these charges started in February 2016 at their daily roaming rate of RM38/day for 3 days at a time. Customer service gave me the excuse was due to my data roaming service is active, so I have to bear the cost that I never use. I have been travelling Singapore to work more than 10 years and I never on my Data Roaming Function on my phone all the time as I knew the charges is very high.

After paying and taking care that both my <data roaming> function AND <mobile data> is switch off when I am in Singapore, I received another 3 days charge for roaming on March 21th 2016. I personally went to complain at the Celcom main outlet in Molek about this matter on 24th March (10:50am). The customer service person ( Mr. Hilml) promised to look into this matter and investigate.

Today I received another SMS from Celcom saying that I have used RM271 for data roaming in Singapore ( See attached SMS picture). A check at this complain board shows that I am not alone, a many people are facing the same problem with Celcom. Please help, I cannot be paying for something that I do not use, or authorize to use.

Tidak Setuju Dengan Bill 18/3/2016

Assalammu'alaikum dan salam sejahtera,
Saya Nuraihan Bt. Md. Hijazi tidak setuju dengan dengan bill yang saya terima ini. Saya sertakan bill & form yg saya apply package First Gold RM80 pada 17hb Feb. 2016. Monthly billing bermula pada 18hb. Setiap bulan kan. Saya tidak lagi menggunakan First Gold RM100. Tetapi pihak Celcom telah mengenakan fee RM100 itu. Dan saya terpaksa membayar fee untuk 2 plan. Sedangkan masa itu saya menggunakan 1 plan. Kalau ikut logik bila saya tukar plan RM100 ke RM 80 automatik RM100 akan terminatekan. Harap pihak Celcom memahami situasi saya ini. Saya berharap agar pihak Celcom memotong fee rm100 yang dikenakan ke atas saya. Saya sangat x bersetuju kerana saya kena membayar fee untuk 2 plan sedangkan saya menggunakan 1 plan sahaja. Diharap pihak Celcom memahami situasi saya ini. Harap maklum dan sekian, terima kasih.

Network Problem

Hey,

Why recently the network in Jalan Ipoh area so weak? I been using celcom in this very same office for the past 9 months with no issues. Starting from last week, my data always shown in 3G but actually its the same as unusable as all the messages and info can't be loaded at all. I have to move towards quite a distance from my office area before my internet connection functions again and 100 messages load out one shot.

Poor customer service

I willing to port out from Maxis to Celcom because of the first gold 80 package. During this few days, I experienced very poor service provider from Celcom. Total 4 times I purposely go Celcom centre to apply First gold 80. But at the end, my application still not in record until today (29/3/16, 4pm)

- 1st time on Friday (25/3/16) afternoon
I went to the mines Celcom dealer. Customers service told me, I have to settle my maxis contract only can apply. They also check my record in Celcom and show is clear.
-2nd time on the same day Friday( 25/3/16) night
I went to Alamanda Shoping Center, Putrajaya. I went Maxis centre settled all my penalty and terminated contract with Maxis within 10 minutes. After this 8.45pm I straight away go Celcom@Alamanda, the no I get which I need to wait 30+ people. Staff celcom told me 1 people needed around 10mins. I not waiting because I don't think will my turn.
-3rd time on Saturday 26/3/16, 11.30am
I went to Celcom@Alamanda again, I needed to wait 24 people only my turn. By 1.40pm(waiting for 2 hours) to submit my application form to counter. Customer service told me 24hr to 48hr I will receive sms.

Sunday still not receive sms, I call Celcom to check, no record. Monday call again, no record.

-4th time on Monday 12.30pm
I went to Celcom@Pavilion (waiting 1 hour) submitted application form again.

This morning call 0196011111 Celcom, still no record. So, I ask contact number of CELCOM@ALAMANDA or CELCOM@PAVILION. But, the customer service told me no contact number and only got the celcom centre address. Why so funny, as a telco company, the centre don't have phone line to call them. Unbelievable.

What kind of service Celcom provide to customer? Waste time...waste time and waste time!

Data roaming

I called to activate my data roaming today just before I started my journey to Singapore. I was told that I need to select operator manually in order to use data roaming. She also told me that I will be charged if my data roaming is on. She warned me about it and asked me to be careful and check my roaming to make sure it is off if I am not gonna use it. I asked for reassurance that no charges will be applied on me if I did not switch on my data roaming and she said YES. so i did double confirm my data roaming wasn't swtiched on when I was at the border of JB. I also make sure it doesnt on automatically during my trip in SG. I never switch on data roaming when I was in SG. When i got back to malaysia celcom sms me and charged me RM38.

Poor line quality

Very poor quality line often network change, 3G is worse than other telco, unstable line make you line keep disconnect, if you are thinking playing networking game, don't use celcom as you will keep disconnect. Line coverage is wide, but it's plan its pointless with poor line quality, fastest lte is a joke.

poor service

I've been using Celcom broadband for 7 years with a RM 53.00(including GST) per month plan.
All of a sudden my internet got no connection for few days
When I checked, they've increased my bill without any prior notification leaving me with overdue bill
I'm so dissappointed and frustrated. This is such a rude service. I had to call the customer service a few times got my phone bill for waste.

Internet Slow and Not Consistent

I ported out from Digi to Celcom three days ago, because of better package (10G + 5G). During this three days, I experienced slow internet and no service at all from time to time. Besides that, the internet stopped once there is call-in call. I never experience such bad services using Digi. I regreted for porting to Celcom, and going to port back to Digi tomorrow.

Rolling Unbilled Amount for Postpaid

I just switched my number from Digi to Celcom for 10 months. I have no issue with Digi previously. I am working in Singapore and travelling between Malaysia and Singapore every weekend. I do switched on my phone as standby mode just to receive call or sms. I connect to wifi while I'm in office or at home. I ensured my phone data connectivity is turned off everytime I cross the borders.

My billing cycle starts on 28th every month. I made payment without fail every month (even for the past 10 years with Digi!). On 5th March when i realized my phone was being barred and I called to Celcom customer service and they told me my phone has been barred since 29th Febraury!! It's the 1st day of the billing cycle!! My phone credit limit is RM150. At first the unbilled amount was RM155 they requested me to pay RM100 to unbar my phone. I have no choice to but to make advance payment.

Story doesn't end here. The following week 11th March when I return to Malaysia my phone has been barred again!! I called to Customer Service and they unbarred my account and tell me to call each time if my phone is being barred!!To prevent my unbilled amount keep rolling I have no choice but to switch off my phone!

Until yesterday 21st March my phone is barred for the 3rd time! And the unbilled amount has reached RM418!! I cannot accept the truth I did not use my phone just letting it to standby mode and my phone has been barred and for each and everytime when my phone is being barred I have to contact customer service!

I had never receive any credit limit sms warning from Celcom at all. Really frustrated with such service.Truly disappointed with Celcom.

Celcom Postpaid

Last December I subscribed Celcom and I was happy with its coverage and service. Until yesterday I received the bill and I was totally pissed-off. They charged me RM1540++ claiming that I opened streaming which I never did that. What the hell is that?
Even if I personally called Celcom to double check on how to access mobile data and their rates (RM38 before GST per day) in Japan, however, they still charge unreasonably. The data roaming usage for those 4 days in Japan did not comply with their standard rates. Surprisingly just a few days ago Celcom call centre said I used data roaming in U.S.then later they said their system was down. As other customers had responded, their bills are not clear and not detailed at all. No one understands.
I am totally disappointed and would not use Celcom again.

Dear..my phone bill wrongly charge high by celcom due to since roaming charge for all my over sea call charge rm5 per min since 2012..i went oversea year 2012 and ask for Raoming service and req stop when i back home.but celcon failure to do it..due to our busy sch and truest celcom service.we become victim since 2012..i hope celcom will refund all our money due to this mistake..we has been very long customer with celcom..hope celcom mgt return our money soon with out any legal matter or we will take legal action for this mistake..pls.myself and my husband with all fly using celcom service for many years.i hopw this issue can solve soon.tqvm

rate very high

Dear..Sy Pn.Azizah bte Ahmad.sy gunakan celcom bertahun tahun bersama suami dan fly..suprise was every month bill getting very high...due ti busy sch we still use this line..We made some complain to customer service on line and work in customer service for same purpose and cancel one line due to rate very high..Today i found out my bill was very high due to my Roaming line was active since 2012 when i went meccah to purforme Umrah..since then my line Roaming was on..i did call celcom to active my line during that time start date and end date given duting my req 4 this service but they didn't ofg my Roaming and when i used ovet sea call or smg very high cost rm5 for 1 min..why this hapoen to me.pls refund our money..For more then 4 years this happen..Sgt tak munasabah dan satu penipuan...harap pihak celcom pulang semua duit bill yg terlebih charge kpf kami soon..Unfair..i hope my problem will resolve with out any legal action..tqvm

Refund

As per the agreed terms and conditions we need a refund of 500.00 rm after settling to purchase i phone. But they have sent us back four times saying it will come in 14 days. Please dont go for schemes with celcom. They will not give your refund as said. If anybody can help get the refund let us know.

Internet coverage poor

Signed up an internet package when i was at KL. but when i go back my home town at Taman Raja Muda Musa, Sitiawan Perak, i cann't excess to internet at all, even social massaging also cann't.Internet showed only E. Checked to the celcom coverage map, it showed that 4G!!!! Seriously 4G??? Why i cann't excess to internet at my home? Dear Celcom, PLEASE upgrade your service at my area as i pay every month not to get for a POOR service.

1. Received SMS on 24th February 2016, saying that I had exceeded my credit limit (RM150). I have no ideal where and what I used those. So my unbilled amount is RM190.00. And they have barred me.

2. Try to check where and what the hell is this Unbilled amount they billed me. I paid my bill every month without fail.
- Call 1111, they are unable to tell me. Asked me to wait until the next billing cycle, which is 13th March 2016. You kidding me, i have to wait for 2 weeks plus to use my phone? No call out, no internet? You kidding me Celcom.
- Went to services centre, the sales is like giving me "Ni bukan salah aku, you tanya aku buat ape, aiyah cepat pergi dari sini lah" face.

3. Check on their Online customer service website, :
How do I know if I have exceeded my credit limit?
You will receive an SMS when your usage is approaching your credit limit
You will receive another SMS when your usage has reached 100% of your credit limit
To enjoy uninterrupted service, you are encouraged to make payment or increase your credit limit.

NOPE, I only received one(01) SMS saying that I exceeded RM190. Not giving any SMS saying that I'm approaching my credit limit.

Check my bill online. I got no more Unbilled Amount. I was so happy finally this matter settled.
To confirm again, check on 8:01am, that unbilled amount charged to me again. What the fish is this?

Anyone encounter this problem? I'm very pissed off. Going to terminate the line.

Cannot call

My father received text from Celcom asking him to pay the bill. So I paid it at BSN bank but he still cannot make a call. So I called the customer service 1111 for question but all I get was "Sorry, your number has been barred. Please make a payment to avoid interruption. Please call 1111 or *1111# or 019-6011111 for customer service." So tried those number but no ringing whatsoever, it ended abruptly.

So I checked at the bill paper to see if there is a number I can call using my own number. I called 1-3000-11111 for help but no ringing, but the ended abruptly too. I called again twice but same thing happen.

My father number still barred. And I don't know what to do.

Another thing is, according to the celcom bill statement, my father credit limit is RM400, but why the celcom barred it eventhough my father only so far used RM110?

Please, we need clarification. My father pissed at me and said he would ask somebody to do it because he assumed I know nothing how to do it.

Got coverage, but cannot call in

Everyday I'm in my office located in Jalan Bukit Kemuning, when someone tries to call me, they jump to Voicemail and i received a miss call message from celcom.

I have full bars of coverage, but i couldn't get any calls, even my superior used celcom faces the same problem, nor digi or maxis.

How can i deal with it?

Scam auto billing & Nurul Husaif

We are writing to express our astonishment, anger, frustration over Celcom's over-charging on our monthly bills that can go unnoticed due to our corporate account with 7-8 phones lines does not come in individual bill; no hard copy of statement; online statement problem to view detailed billing and also due to credit card debit auto payment requirement. Since last September and finally in November 2015 after much complaining and meeting up with celcom manager Nurul Husaif, we managed to detect that celcom had overcharged us of more than RM4,000. Nurul Husaif said that celcom cannot refund the money but can do contra. But ever since then, this inefficient and irresponsible manager has been playing hide and seek with us. He doesnt answer our continuous calls nor reply to our messages. He did not handle this matter in a professional manner representing his company Celcom, instead his action and attitude is an admission on his part that this dispute is definitely a SCAM. During this period of time our lines were barred and released; barred and released; barred and released and Nurul Husaif had agreed to transfer all the lines to individual names to settle this problem. After going through months and months and till to date 21 February 2016, of dealing with this unprofessional manager of which his doings, attitude and ability in handling this Scam were just too much to put into this Complaint Form and can only be summarised with these descriptions "went through hell" with him! We request somebody of higher authority to get in contact with us to expose this Scam and refund us this money asap.
