No Assistance with Finalising Claim

I have been to the UIF offices 7 times over a period of 3 months to try and finalisd my claim.
I have been ranting, raving, begging, pleading and crying, no one on the staff is interested in helping me. I am a single mom, I have to support my son and I on my salary (which I dont have for months now). All my savings are used up!!! I am at a point of desparation and it is causing tremendous strain. I approached the director of the branch and told me that because I am upset, and because no one LIKES ME, they have decided I should go to hell! They are not willing to help me process my claim.

One of the guys in the que with me had been waiting 7 MONTHS!! and still no luck!!!

What is happening to this country!!?? Its going to the dogs! Literally. The people have become pathetic and refuse to do their jobs. When you are at your lowest they kick you. I begged an pleaded for 3 months! How much longer did I have to continue begging, before I would be allowed some leniency.

We are treated like common animal slaves by this government!! I wonder when it is ever going to end?

can you please help I have been trying to get help for continuation of payment but went I log on my ufiling account it says cancelled and I have been waiting for it for month now and its cancelled no update no nothing way must we pay every month but when we claim our climes are cancelled but we pay every month

Maternity uif issue for 5 moths

Please help!!!! My Maternity UIF is still in process even after 5 months! I have confirmed with a few people that all the documentation has been received, and every time there are isuues with the assesor. It has been admitted to the assesor like 4 times already and nothing has been happening!

What more can I do??

Why is there an issue if the process is so simple??

Good day

Iv faled my application on 21 august 2015 n today 1 of december get a message saying my application has been rejected after iv been to kempton park n some lady who was rude said that evrythng was in oder i should wait fr an sms n i mustnt come back till i get the sms..when u try to call the call centre u hold for 3 to 4 hours..pls help me

Do They even bother to read these comments???

I have a maternity complaint but won't even bother to post it here. I don't think they read these comments or do anything about it. UIF is so useless for a lack of better description. Their processes are flawed.

Uif maternity claim not paid out

Still know I am still waiting for the money. I fill that you are playing with us is easy for you guy to take money from our salary but is so difficult to pay our. No Money and No Help from UIF

I submitted my claim through Mothersjoy in the beginning of September, received an sms from UIF saying my claim was received, after 8 weeks I eventually started questioning what was going on - Mothersjoy couldnt help me and said its between my employer and UIF, called the UIF department, they requested my U19 be sent via email to [email protected]... this was a week ago and no response. I am now trying to call UIF again - going on 20min on the line - no assistance. I dont know what more to do? Why do we even pay UIF if we dont even get anything from them when needed! No one is willing to help - I cant even get a case open?

pathetic service from UIF Tzaneen

Dear sir/madam,

I worked at Du Roi agritect for 4 years and were then laid off due to the fact that I made an internal complaint about my work-status being employed as consultant when I actually had been a employee . I opened a case at the ccma for unfair dismissal. The ccma accept the case indicating I had been an employee. I applied for arbitration LP3319-15_2_SetDownParArbitr and received the certificate. I had to withdraw since I couldn't afford legal representation since the other party did had.

I asked for uif papers to claim, since the ccma saw me as an employee and hence accepted my case for unfair dismissal. My emplyer wrote at contribution, not contributed, I query the fact with the UIF office Tzaneen since my status had been misrepresented by Du Roi agritect. As I had been misrepresented in status by my company and would have contributed otherwise the company had to pay a penalty and the department of l,abour will be able to process the uif claim.

I went to saw a senior white lady at the department of labour who asked for my 2015 employee contract and for my termination letter and made a copy of each. She said the Department of labour will held an investigation into the practice of the company. She conclude that I had to apply for UIF and that it will be send with the query to investigate the company. I, George Rudolf Meyer, 7302035205080 then applied for UIF on 08/07/2015.
since then I visited the offices of UIF Tzaneen since July 2015, monthly without any confirmation on the uif pay-out and had to wait for 5 hours each time. When it is lunch time the people at the help desk left for 1 hour without notifying the applicants. I always faced. Mr. Malatji at the help desk and he said every time, he will follow up and I will receive an answer in 2 weeks time but never did neither did he spend more than 2 minutes in helping me and seems to entertain the attitude that my claim is not important . Neither did he ensure that I may get a confirmation sms of the status of my case or that my claim are in the process of being processed.

I phoned him on 2015/11/24 since a lady at the uif office advised me it will be better than sitting for 5 hours with no outcome. He only said Mr Meyer phone me again in 2 weeks time.

I emailed Vincent Mathebula the head of the uif office Tzaneen about the issue 2 months ago but no reaction.

yet and 3 emails remain unanswered.



Can your office please follow up my case as I am still unemployed and
received no benefits yet.

Delayed UIF Payments! Department of Labour

Dear Sirs,

I am one of the victims who are still struggling with my claim submitted on 15 of August 2015.

I have been struggling tremendously just like other people to get my maternity payment.I have been in contact with the people at the dept of labour but still get no joy instead I was told that my child's birth certificate and document for continuation of payment has not been data captured after a period of two months after submitting them two times.

My main concern is not mainly for me as an individual but for thousands of people out there who are truly in Dior need of that money due to their own financial constraints,for lay people and the people out there who earn a minimum wage and cannot even afford to buy themselves bread..How be it that they are expected to live nor their children survive when they take ages to get things done on the dept of labour's side.

This maladministration should be looked into and ways of improving such wicked and evil service be destroyed.

Please may we get that which belongs to us in a proper way.

I went go to the Skinner street branch on 15 October to sign and hand in my last claim form for my UIF.
I received a sms on 19 October 17:07 Request for Payment received – payment is 7 – 10 working days
I received a sms on 22 October 09:05 Request for Payment received – payment is 7 – 10 working days
I received a sms on 26 October 16:03 Request for Payment outstanding
I received a sms on 29 October 16:02 Request for Payment outstanding
I received a sms on 2 November 16:02 Request for Payment outstanding
I received a sms on 5 November 16:03 Request for Payment outstanding
I received a sms on 9 November 16:02 Request for Payment outstanding

I went BACK to SKINNER street on 17 November I signed a NEW claim form and hand it in
I received a sms on 17 November 09:47 Request for Payment received – payment is 7 – 10 working days
I received a sms on 23 November 16:03 Request for Payment outstanding

What is going on…..I have gone there and hand in my signed form TWICE…..and the sms does not stop. AND NO Payment.

incorrect pay out

good day

I have worked for Lithotech Afric Mail from 14 July 2003 and the contract of employment was terminated on 29 January 2015 the company name was changed to Bidvest Data on 1 July 2013. My wages was plus R1000 weekly. I applied for uif February 2015. I received my first pay out in May 2015 R1800.00 to my surprise was told that is the only amount. I find it ridiculous that after so many years and uif was deducted weekly for these years and I get R1800.00 I have been send from pillar to post with this claim. I am unemployed and used all the funds I had now I am being told to enquire at the head office in Pretoria. These people are taking our money now they don't want to pay out its a year now and nothing has been done.

Appalling service and unpaid UIF

On Thursday I went to the UIF office in Benoni to find out what was happening to my payout as I completed the process in February of this year and still have not received any money even though I've been told everything has been approved. I was told to go wait at Harold's desk who is a supervisor there and after waiting for 45 minutes for him, he came and told me he was too busy to help me and I must go wait for someone else, but I had to go to the back of que again. This is really terrible service. Why do we have to wait so long for our money?

I have been working the company for 6years were I was earning 9400 before I got re trenched then I had an interview with another company for 4days the interview didn't go well, I got paid R1100 for 4day of the interview.When I got paid my uif calculations are made according to the salary of company that didn't hire me.please help if there is a way I can rectify this.please help

Maternity UIF Claim

My claim was submitted in August 2015, after all the paperwork was submitted, emailed and whatever needed to happen.
Received an sms that my claim was rejected due to documents outstanding, after weeks of fighting and trying to get someone to assist via call center, I was unable to visit a branch, I was told which documents needed to be submitted, which were then done 4 times again.
Still not captured or processed.
It is such an inconvenience getting just a little portion of my own money that I have been paying for years.
My monthly expenses are not waiting for me to get money before debit orders are deducted.
How do they expect people to take care of their babies and families??? THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Unpaid UIF Claim

I’m now at my wits end and I don’t know what route one needs to go to get a claim paid. I have applied for UIF to be paid as I was retrenched in October 2014. I did the application at the Vereeniging branch and every month on the date that I need to go and sign all I get told is that the claim has not been processed by Germiston as yet.

THIS IS NOW A YEAR LATER AND STILL NO PAYMENT!!!

Do these departments realize that I have no income at present and I need to pay my debts and rent, let alone find money to live off. This is totally unacceptable and I would appreciate it if someone will contact me regarding this claim. I will not settle for this kind of excuses any longer. I have been very patient up till now but no more. I have tried calling the customer care line 0800 843 843 but there you are placed on hold for eternity ( I was on hold for 31min 15 sec ) and nobody answers the call. All other contact numbers are the same no answer!!!! How is one supposed to resolve issues if you can’t even get through on the phone.
Please can something be done about this pathetic service from this government department. It is compulsory that all employees pay UIF contributions but when the time comes for it to be paid out due to unemployment we get given the run around.

Company registration not registerd

I have been sending Emails to and from but the company is still not registered. the client cannot get his Permit because he is registered and because of that Employee are suffering a great dear due to business loss

Uif martinty money

I applied in the 1st week of May and now it's November I haven't received a cent of my maternity money I don't have a place to stay with my baby as I couldent pay my rent clearly this people that works for the Labour derparment is not doing their jobs why are their deducting uif from our salarys and not paying us when we suppose to we working hard for our money to take care of our children now our kids have to suffer because you people are lazy to do their work I've been up and down til today stil noting all papers is submitted I went to my prevoius company still this labour derparment can't help...the only thing I can say is I want my money that I'm working for!! MATERNITY BENEFITS NOT PAID

I applied for my maternity UIF on 24 August 2015.

It is now the 17th November 2015 and I have not yet received a cent of my UIF money.

I have been to the Randburg labour dept over 10 times already and they keep telling me that the approval needs to come from provincial level and that all my documentation is on the system and they are awaiting approval.

I have also phoned the call center over 10 times and they also keep giving me excuses.

I urgently need my money as I have had to take loans and borrow money for the past 3months in order to make ends meet.

Please assist me.

UIF MATERNITY BENEFITS

The goverment is making money and building Nkandla.Noone worries about the people and what they contribute every month.My wife didnt get paid her maternity benefits and so did many other mothers.

Noone takes notice of this complaints so noone should pay taxes.

Second time struggling with Brakpan Depatment of Labour

Good day, I recently got layed of by my employer, where I was working at for 8 months, prior to that I did a Claim at the Brakpan Labour departmert (very very very rude people) They make you feel like a criminal for applying for something that you payed for monthly. 8 months ago I was busy with my claim and for 3 months on going I was struggling They had all the documentation (which every time they would only still need something and when I arrive with the document The would need another document always delaying the process so I gor a job and didnt receive a cent. I now recently started claiming again after my dismissal and history is repeating it self however this time I want service ! Why do I have to be treated the way they treat you ???????? Cant get through via telephone

Good Day.

I have been unemployed since July 2015. To date, I have not received a cent from the UIF department. I CANT get through to the UIF offices in PTA. I have just spent 23 minutes waiting for my call to be answered, as someone answered the phone went dead. I got an e-mail on thursday asking to submit "continuation of payment" forms.... I have no idea what this is.... Please will someone contact me on 073 313 0475 ASAP as i am getting highly irritated now!!!!

Poor service

I have been send from pillar to post for my uif claim.I applied in August everytime I call I am given a different excuse and I have not received any feedback. I am really not happy about the service from department of labour.
