Same here, just opened a pack and have a not nice surprise, 17 in, that's just stealing!

Well today I brought a packet of sterling duel as I normally do just to be horrified to only find now 17 in the packet, yet the price has not changed to accommodate this!! This is bloody outrageous! I will not be buying this brand again. Consider myself and possibly a lot of other customers lost!!

well this started saturday, bought a pack of sterling superkings from my local one stop yea 19 cigarettes in that pack, but yesterday i had to buy kingsize sterling and there was 18 in that pack, but today i go to asda and buy a pack of sterling superkings and theres 17 in the pack, but yet if we buy any other name we get 19 in a pack???

The company who make sterling super kings and sterling kingside, menthol and fresh burst are JTI UK go on to their website and go to contact us so you can complain directly. Absolutely disgusted no warning about reduction to 17 in a pack. Very sneaky

After having always smoked these, initially was annoyed when amount was cut down to 17 but then found half my cigarettes have no freshburst ball in!

I brought a pack of sterling superkings this morning supposed to be 19 (used to be 20) they did advertise on the size of the pack 19 but now no warning no advertising of less cigarettes. There was only 17 in my pack yet price hasn't dropped to reflect this.

wtf only 17 smokes, why isn't it on the pack will be smoking another brand.

iv just brought sterling fresh taste there's 3 fags missing wtf, and looking at these reviews not happy😠. where was the warning, the world needs to stop moulding us human beings we make our own choices, not happy will be changing my brand.

Brought a pack of supposedly 20 to think it looked empty so counted, 17 cigarettes what on earth do you think your doing, it's absolutely disgusting, yes smoking is a bad habit etc but isn't that a choice that the customer makes if they cut down or not, not by force, I'm outraged never buying them again!!!!!!

I have just opened a new packet and when took one out I thought "that looks empty" and counted only 17!! What on earth is this all about? It hasn't been that long since you reduced from 20 to 18, but for goodness sake yet another one removed, no warning, nothing!?!?
I point-blank refuse to purchase another pack from this company.
Yes, smoking is bad for you, but it IS NOT ILLEGAL to smoke so why on earth are you insisting on ripping off your customers more and more? Are you wanting to go out of business? If that is the case just fold it. I am furiously disgusted. Your customers budget for what they can and can't afford, and using an example of the original pack of 20 per day as an average, so 140 per week, this has now become 8.2 packs per week instead of the original 7. Disgrace!!! Money-grabbing corporation! How dare you be so deceitful when it is your customers paying for your ability to actually have a company, wage, lifestyle. Vile!

just brought sreling duals in morrisons and asked for 10. was told they only had pack of 20 so brought those. a bit shocked to then find only 17 in my packet. what a joke the staff didnt even know but clearly this is a very common problem. wont ever buy these again.

So it seems, like others, I am being ripped off. The other day, I asked for 20 Sterling Dual and got given a packet of 17. I thought it might have been a one off but I have just asked for the same in shop, and again, got 17 in the packet without any warning.
What can be done about this?

Brought my usual pack of sterling fresh taste today only to find they have up the price by 31p. But not only that, they have also reduced the amount to 17 cigarettes!! Absolute rip off!!! Why can't you just keep the amount at 20 cigarettes like we all want/need

Just gone to add my usual Sterling superking smooth to my online Sainsburys basket & I note there are now only 17 in what used to be a 20/19/18 pack. Funny how the prices have not reduced to match! I will stick with B&H Sky Blues instead from now on. .

i have just bought sovereign superkings from tesco this morning when i opened the packet there were on 17 cigarettes in it i thought omg i've smoked 2 cigs without opening the packet its a joke i feel when i need to cut down my cigarette intake i would like to do it myself with warning how about cutting the price aswell as the amount in the packet.

Purchased 20 sterling fresh burst today recently noticed it drop from 20 to 19 then to 18 and today i got a pack with only 17 in it. I think it is a joke no warning at all that the packs have been reduced in quantity and still at the same price as i paid when you used to recieve 20 in a pack. Get it sorted or i will be changing my brand. What a joke!!!!

Just brought another pack of Sterling Duel only to find its now down to 17... I have noticed this drop over the last few months from 20,18 and now 17! at this rate in March/April 2016 I will be opening a box of 20 and finding 1 !!!! Sterling you have to sort this out or note it on your packets.
I also note that on the bottom of the packet it has a stamp and I quote LIESC60...its even stamped 'LIES'. Back o LnB burst I think!

Just bought a packet of 20 sterling fresh burst and i know they only come with 19 now but found 16 in the packet, there must be quite a issue with this with the amount of people posting on this.

First it started as a 20 pack then 19 then 18, I bought a pack today and it had 17 in it!! Still at the same price!! If you want to cut the number of cigarettes per pack how about you cut the price too?! £6.99 for 17 cigarettes (more expensive in some shops) is absolutely ridiculous when it was the same price for 20! Looks like I'll start buying Bnh instead, more expensive but at least I wont feel like I'm being ripped off!

I asked the shop keeper for 19 sterlin duals because that's how many are usually in it but I oped the packet and it looked half empty. Untouched and not tampered with only had 17 in it. What a joke it didn't even state in the box how many are in the box nor that they've reduced the amount. I expect to get what I pay for or at least be told of a change by the manufacturer. Doesn't seem like I'm the only one either. Sort this out sterlin or I'll just change brand.

I always ask for a 20 sailing fresh and accept that I get 19...but recently Iv only had 18, this has become i like them iI just keep at it. But today only had 17... This is not Okay, 6.99 and I'm only getting 17. I want them to pull there fingers out or I'm just not going to bother... Not quit, that's extreme, just go for another brand.

I go with the guy who has passed a complaint on to his local Trading Standards. I shop in Tesco and ask for 20 Sterling menthol, a while ago I noticed only 19 in a pack, recently it's dropped to 18. No comments come from the staff. I feel completely deceived and ripped off. No indication on the pack as to how many cigarettes are in it.

i have just bought a packet of what i thought was 20 sterling fresh taste but once i opened them i only found 17 inside the packet. i even asked for 20 sterling fresh taste. the packet was sealed and not tampered with. it would of been nice to of been notified of the change in number of cigarettes. i have read other posts and it seems a lot of people have had the same problem. i doubt the retailer was even told about the change in number of cigarettes. i will be going back to the retailer tomorrow to ask them if they know about the change.
