department of labour Mount Aylliff
Dear Sir/ madam
I submitted my claim on November 2015 its now been year without payment. I submitted all the documents and was told to come and check the following month which was December. I did and there was nothing, in January 2016 i went again nothing also and all that two months i had not received an sms notification about my claim. In February i asked to speak to uif manager as i was getting frustrated, she told me that my application was never scanned. Who is that fault? i guess not mine without any choice i had to go home dissapointed again, they promised to fix the matter. Later i received a notification in February that my claim was being processed and i was happy. I never received anything from then, in June 2016 i went to their office again only to be told that one of the documents is missing in my application. I was shocked because i gave them everything , before they could process my application they told me what i need to bring for my application to be processed. I did exactly that but later told there's a missing document was surprised me the document reported missing was the one i gave them and had a copy of it.I emailed them that document but still today i have not been paid. I think all the labour officials are incompetent and useless. Every time i visit this site there are always complains about uif claims, what does the department do with these complains? . We have worked very hard for our money and we are out of jobs so please swallow your pride and do what you supposed to do. How can you inconvenience some one s life like this, my academic results will be held because i owe the institution. I registered because i knew my money would be paid on time but its the opposite. My application was not scanned because someone forgot to and one of the documents lost because of her carelessness, but she is still enjoying her income for making errors. Surprisingly she did not get even a warning because for what she did, hence am saying you are all useless. Just in case somebody competent enough is there here is my case number 100036220008, id 8604 0662 99 083, email [email protected]. I have been writing on this site and giving the same details but nothing happen, if this site brings no feed back please stop it because it as useless as some officials. I will keep on fighting for my money i do not care how long it takes but finally i will win it does not matter if that will 2025.

Pathetic, poor, useless and corrupt
Applied for UIF last year December 2016, it takes 5 months for review by assessor to be completed and still no payment.
I have payed UIF ALL my working life, 2nd child claim and this can not be payed out?
This is just another indication why we are rated as a rubbish, 3rd world country as our systems, government and parliament are lazy, corrupt and useless.
No UIF, no eletricity, no water, what is next SA?

Being told I have resign but was retrenched
Good Day
I have been retrenched from the 5th of August. I have submitted all my documents as requested. I then received and sms stating that my claim was rejected. I went in to Boksburg UIF centre. To be told that they have it on system that I have resigned. I told the lady that i have been retrenched and it is stated so on the U19 form aswell. She then told me to wait 2 weeks for the data capturing centre to correct the mistake. I have been there 2 weeks later to tell me they have not fixed it yet and that i need to bring in the original U19 form and a letter from my employer that retrenched me stating that i have been retrench. I did so and now for the 5th time from submitting my claim it has still not been changed and have been told the system is down they can not change anything and that I need to go back in 2 weeks time again. I do not have the money to travel every time to them and back. I can not beleive that it takes 2 weeks to fix it. I would like for some one to come back to me over this. Same story every single time. Why is it so many trouble to get money back that you have paid for every month. Need urgent reply. ID: 9001150052081 email: [email protected]

UIF PAYOUT DELAY
I claimed for uif in March 2016 and it is 7 months down the line and I have not been helped. Each time I go and follow up on my claim I am told my documentation has been sent to Bloemfontein. When I try to follow up with Bloemfontein I am told they have sent my documentation to Pretoria. I am now not sure where the truth is. Phuthaditjhaba branch consultants are not helpful at all. I have been requesting my claim number so I can make my own follow up since they dint care about that and they told me the claim number is for their own reference. I have never heard of such madness. Please follow up on this for me. ID No.8211265658083 Daniel Matabola, Contact No. 0823160712.

IOD NO CLAIM NUMBER - EMPLOYEE DECEASED OVER A YEAR AGO
Our Driver passed away on duty in a car accident on the 28/09/2015. I submitted a claim online a year ago using your online system -which is not user friendly at all!!!! Your system is showing that the claim is captured but there is no claim number received. I called your call centre several times and I had to hold for an hour before they answer - eventually when I get through none of you call centre staff could help me - even they are confused with your system. I decided to go to the labour department at in braamfontein Johannesburg and hand-delivered the claim forms with the hope to speed up the process. I submitted all the documents and lady by Dudu Masilela gave me her email address
(' [email protected]') requested me to send her the authentication key - which I did. However the claim is still not captured on the system. This is frustrating and stressing for the deceased family.
My email address is [email protected]

UIF deductions in arrears
Kindly assist me with the UIF returns of my Domestic Worker.
I was under the impression that her UIF is deducted every month.
This seems to be in a mess now.
I am leaving my own job and relocating, need to rectify the UIF of my Domestic as I will need to retrench her.
Salary in 2006 was R 600 per month and has been increased by 10% every year.
I know I definitely made manual payments in the beginning and then switched to automatic deductions?
I have emailed over months but no response.
None of the reports are working in UFiling.

uif delay
I HAVE CLAIMED FOR UIF ABOUT 3 MONTHS BACK ON THE 20th JULY 2016 AND TOLD TO WAIT FOR 6 WEEKS THAT WAS UP TO 8 SEPTEMBER 2016 AND I WAS PATIENT UNTIL THE TIME THAT WAS WRITE TO VISIT LABOUR DEPARTMENT TO SEE IF MY APPLICATION WAS SUCCESSFUL
IN RESULT IT SHOWED THAT WAS APPLICATION WAS SUCCESSFUL ON PROGRESS AND IT WAS UPDATED ON 22 AUGUST 2016,ONE OF THE LABOUR WHO WAS CHECKING FOR TOLD ME IT HAS NOT PAID UP TO THAT DATE,I KEPT VISITING OFFICES FREQUENTLY UNTIL I NOTICED THE IS NO PROGRESS IN MY APPLICATION SINCE UPDATED AND WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE MATTER OF MY CLAIM I WAS TOLD THAT "THE SUPERVISOR HAVE NOT CHECKED MY CLAIM THAT IS WHY IT HAVE NOT PAID" AND I'M REALY WORRIED ABOUT THIS MATTER BECAUSE IT HAVE CAME TO MY UNDERSTANDING WHAT THIS FUNDS WERE FOR BUT I CAN'T TELL NOW AS I HAVE HAD SOME DIFFICULITIES DURING THIS PERIOD FROM THE TIME I CLAIMED
PAYING UIF DOES NOT HAVE DELAYS BUT FOR CLAIMING IT LOOKS LIKE IT TAKES AGES TO PROCESS AND IN THE OTHER HAND MY FAMILY'S STRUGGLING BUT I CONTRUBUTED UIF EVERY MONTHS FOR TIME LIKE THIS WITHOUT ANY HESITATION BUT IN CLAIMING IT THERE IS MORE UNEXPECTED I DON'T5 REALY KNOW NOW WHAT MUST I DO TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS MATTER

UIF is like the LOTTO
Seems like UIF contributions are used to enrich the Government or some Government official, and not paid to the contributor when unemployed
I have been paying UIF as I should be paying according to the countries law. I was unemployed for about 10 years and never claimed UIF. I started working in 2012 and the company deducted UIF as per the law every month from my salary. As of 16th May 2016 my contract was not renewed. I had to wait for the labour broker to issue me with a letter for UIF purposes, however this letter took a long time to be issued. When I approached the UIF office and had to stand in a queue as early as 05h30 in the winter, I was told that I had to register for UIF. And then I had to return to the UIF office a month later to get a piece of paper signed. My biggest gripe is that I received a pathetic amount of about R4000-00. My vehicle payment is R7400-00 and the vehicle insurance is another R1600-00. I am totally disgusted that I was not reimbursed for the period I was unemployed. On top of this I found out at the UIF office that my employer did not pay the UIF deducted every month from my salary into the UIF as required by law. I now am of the opinion that the Government and my employer actually stole money from me as I was not reimbursed for the period I was unemployed. I would like the UIF office to investigate why my employer deducted UIF monthly from my salary but never paid it into the UIF. And also be fair to reimburse me for the period I was unemployed, as I am about to lose my vehicle because I owe a lot of money on my vehicle, I could at least pay my vehicle if the UIF was paid out that was due to me.

No Claim Number received for I.O.D
I am beyond patience.
Have been trying to get our claim numbers for I.O.D's is a nightmare! Starting at the organisation I was told to follow up on an I.O.D from July, all documentation was posted, to date, there is no claim number received, try calling the D.O.L and they have an automated service stating, "that due to high call volumes, we need to email ' [email protected]' to which no emails have been replied to, trying to submit online is another nightmare, I need to reset the password, because the one online is invalid, but when going to input the name and surname the blocks are grayed out, so I am unable to even change the password, so I email the help line email address supplied, and low and behold, it comes back with a failure notice...
The Department of Labour is in shambles, I am officially going to have to camp out at my local office in hopes that someone can help me, because even emailing the local office of D.O.L has come up fruitless.

UIF - not paid
I lodged a complaint on the 24th on this site but did not get any feedback yet...., - this is with regard to a stamp that is lost at the Barberton office.... I call the provincial Labour Relations office of Witbank (Mpumalanga) continuously and daily without ANY answering of the phone. I found the number from the official site on the internet. It appears that the phones in the Labour Relations offices in general are not manned at all or employees just refuses to answer it. When I read the other complaints on this site I found that it is a general problem that the phones are not answered or even any of these complaints. This site may also be ignored and not attended to.....? HOW WILL THIS NOW BE SOLVED...???? People are in NEED of money to survive due the fact that they were retrenched and struggle to find any work. When we were working we did however pay the UIF insurance MONTHLY without stop but now that we need this money we struggle with just normal communication and are IGNORED! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE ACTION ON THIS AND GIVE US PROMPT ANSWERS AND/FEEDBACK????

On the 24 Oct 2016 I went to the Parys office and was informed my claim is still not approved and will be referred the the supervisor
It is very clear what is going on there . My opinion is this is either incompetency or delibrate delay
Please investigate

uif non payment
I would like to lodge a complaint for a UIF claim not paid in almost 12 month.
Good day Sir/Madam
I went to the Dept. of labour in springs on 10/11/2015 applying for. The company that I have worked for at the time was JAD projects. All the required documentation was submitted at Springs at Ettienne Steenkamp. The company had a name change in the time I was employed with them. Ettienne referred me to Roodepoort to Mrs. Khanyisa. After going to the department of labour in Roodepoort to see Mrs. Khanyisa, she sorted out the required documentation and send it to Ettienne at Springs. She e-mailed me a copy which I then also submitted to Ettienne. I contacted Ettienne on a regular basis to enquire what I should do next and he continuously for months told me that I should phone him end of next the month.

She e-mailed me a copy which I then also submitted to Ettienne 25 April 2016. I contacted Ettienne on a regular basis to enquire what I should do next and he continuously for months told me that I should phone him end of next the month and so on, after telling every time everything is in order. I tried to stay in contact with Ettienne so much so that he started to get annoyed with me. End of May 2016 I contact Ettienne again and he said that there was a problem with my application and I must come and see him, which I did. He told me that the system lost my application and that it happens from time to time, but not to worry we must just re-apply and they will see if they (being they is himself and his supervisor Retha Du Toit) can finalize this asap. I contacted Retha via e-mail. The mail read as follows
(Good day Retha,
My name is Andrew Maré ID. number 7202275218084
My claim reference number is 2947/720227 Date applied 10/11/2015
I applied for UIF 10112015.
My claim was apparently not processed immediately, because there was a query with the uif. registration about the company I worked for. My application was submitted with Etienne Steenkamp who told me that he had to sort this query out with the company JAD Projects.
He told me that he will phone me back as soon as this was resolved. Late January 2016 I received a letter referring me to Labour Department Roodepoort. I went there 3 times to sort out this matter. The contact person was Ms. Khanyisa. She had to clear this matter with JAD Projects. She mailed all the documents to me , which I immediately mailed to Ettienne. He received it and told me to phone him in two weeks time, which I did. He said he will get back to me and did not. After another 2 weeks I phoned him and he told me everything is in order and he will contact me to sign and receive a date for signing the claim. After approximately 3 weeks I phoned him again and he said my application had been lost and added that the system does this. and that he didn't know what happened. I went to the bank again for the UI 2.8 to be completed. I then went to see Ettienne again to do a new application. We went through the register for clients and my name and signature was on the register confirming that my application was done 10/11/2016 here at Springs. We completed the application again and attached a copy of the register. Etienne then gave me a UI-1 with a signing date of 2016-07-04 and said this is the date that the system gave for my payment. He said everything is in order.
On 30/05/2016 I received an SMS stating that my UIF claim was rejected. I contacted Etienne and he said he will phone me back. He did not. Today 02/06/2016 I phoned him again to enquire about this matter. Etienne told me that UIF. rejected my claim and the reason was that it is longer than 6 months. I told him that this is not my fault as I had to wait for processes from labour department that had to be followed. I asked him what to do, as I am now beyond the point of frustrated. He replied that I must phone him at the end of June 2016 as there are processes to be followed and if the claim is then rejected we will appeal and there is nothing we can do.
I don't know where to go and who to see as my claim is lawful and now rejected as a result of delays from labour department. This claim is taking a very long time and I now doubt if I will ever get the payout. When a person loses his job a claim like this is suppose to assist him and his family in order to find another job. I still haven't found a job and need this claim to be paid out desperately as we won't be able to have a roof over our heads or food to survive. What should I do or who should I speak to get this matter resolved as soon as possible.
If you could please assist me to finalize this claim.
Kind regards,
Andrew Maré
081 710 0775
Ettienne then knowingly that it would be rejected on 2016-05-23 put in a new application which was now past six months after my employment was terminated. He then issued a signing date UI-1 dated 2016-07-04 and told me that everything is in order and that on the signing they will arrange my payments to be done all at once. I went home thinking that all is in order until a couple days later when I received an sms. from dept. Labour stating that my claim was rejected. I went to the offices in Spring once again only now I had to go to a different department.
I was then told that I have to put in an appeal and wait for 90 days. I then submitted an appeal on 2016-06-06 to Zweli.
Zweli then told me that the system don’t just lost an application, which led me to believe that Ettienne was trying to cover up what he did wrong and Retha assisted him. I phoned Retha Du Toit and she asked me who gave me her number and that I must contact a different department as this does not fall under her (that is the appeals dep.) and I should contact them. Zweli was very helpful in assisting me with the processing of me appeal (thank you for your kind help Zweli). After the submission of my appeal 2016-06-06 I then waited patiently for 90 days. I then contacted Sanharsh as he was handling the outcome of the appeals. He asked me if I was send an sms. or contacted by the appeals board in which I replied no. I was told to be patient and wait as I will be contacted. On 2016-09-05 I went to the labour office in Springs yet again. I went to see Sanharsh and he completed a form to enquire about the appeal. I then kindly asked if there is maybe somebody that could give me an answer and feedback. Sanharsh ( a very helpful and understanding person) called his supervisor to address me. The lady spoke to me without giving her name addressing me as “THE SUPERVISOR OF SANHARSH (very dominant person that is unapproachable and don’t want any feedback or questions asked) then told me that what is happening is the process and there is nothing anybody could do and told me that I must just wait until I’m contacted. Couldn’t speak to her I was just told you have to wait and that is it. Yet again time has gone by and nothing. Almost a year has passed and no answer, no reply, nobody that could be contacted or to complain to or even in a kind manner ask or enquire. Please assist me in this regard as my claim is legal and submitted in time, only some admin issue or incorrect procedure followed by staff that is delaying my claim. Please contact me on 081 710 0775 / [email protected] for urgent attention to resolve this matter.
Thank you for your time and patience.
Kind regards,
Andrew Maré

No payment
I have been retrenched since January this year. I completed the UIF forms and received the payment monthly, however the last 2 months I did not receive any payments. I visit the office every month and sign off a form. I called the office in Barberton and they told me I did not receive anything yet because they do not have a stamp for the forms. They ordered a stamp but are waiting for it. It is now 2 months that they do not have a stamp and according to my records they could then close the office until they receive a stamp. All the people going their for the last 2 months then do not get any payment. It is not fair as people need the money to buy food. It does not make sense - because of a stamp - people's families are suffering.....????? Please assist URGENTLY!!!!

no payment for uif claim
To whom it may concern
I have submitted my uif maternity benefit claim in August at the department of labour Temba and to date I haven't received any payment. When I went there to check status of my claim as I did not receive an sms as they said I would they told me the records on my ui19 are incorrect, knowing my employment records by heart I know that the ui19 is correct but nevertheless my company sent a confirmation letter, they gave me another date when I went again they said my ui19 isn't clear and they don't have my salary schedule of which it was attached with my initial application, I gave them other copies and they said ill receive feedback within 7days, to date I haven't heard a thing and when I send a lady who is dealing with my claim emails she no longer responds, I spend 100rand to travel back and forth in one day, so where do I get this money if I'm not being paid
Can someone sort this out
