UIF PAYENT - CLAIM REJECTED
Dear Sir, Madam
Re: UIF Claim - Case No: 10004660996 - JM du Plessis - ID: 6211050023081
Listed below are copies of e-mails between myself and the UIF offices which clearly records the correspondence that has been submitted in support of my UIF claim.
To date I have had no acknowledgement of receipt of these documents and I am unable to obtain any update/data on the UIF Website to show that the claim is being processed or not. This has matter has remained unresolved since June 2016 and I am now suffering severe financial hardship.
Please can you help to solve this matter ugently as I am now desperate.
Dear Sir, Madam
Please be so kind to refer to the attached documentation and my e-mails below.
On 23 August 2016 I received an SMS from UIF with the following message: Claim rejected: Notice of Appeal can be submitted at a Labour centre. Today 25 August I visited our Local Department of Labour Bronkhorstspruit to try to sort this out. I have spoken to Jacob [Manager] who told me that the attached documentation is not as yet captured on the system. He made copies of the attached and requested the clerk to scan and process.
I already submitted all the required documentation to you and would like to know the reason why my claim has been rejected. I have submitted all the documentation to you on 13 August [see my e-mail below] and also see my e-mail to Mr. George Swanepoel on 4 August 2016 whereby he acknowledged receipt of these documentation and confirmed that he already did forward the documentation to the relevant section that will be dealing with my application.
I have been without an income for 2 months [July and August 2016] and desperately request your response to what I should do and what is the reason for your sms to me on 23/08/2016 informing me that my claim has been rejected.
Your urgent response will be appreciated.
Regards
Jeanne du Plessis

RE: 6211050023081 - Case No: 10004660996 [Jeanne M. du Plessis]
Dear Sir/Madam,
I refer to the attached documentation which was submitted in support of my UIF application.
The document history of my application as shown on the U-filing website does not reflect receipt of these documents and I am concerned that my application has not been processed at this stage.
Mr George Swanepoel (Customer Care UIF) was very helpful in assisting me in submitting the outstanding documents that was required (see attached). Mr Swanepoel undertook to forward these documents to the relevant UIF Dept. but I have no idea whether or not these documents have been received and processed.
Would you please advise what the current progress is on my application. I have no income at the moment and need your assistance urgently.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Jeanne du Plessis

UIF still not paying after 4 months
I was retrenched 5 months ago, I have been looking for gainful employment since then.
I submitted my UIF claim in June 2016 as I was hospitalised straight after my retrenchment.
I let the wheels of the UIF find momentum for 3 months and once I was broke I started calling and emailing the relevant people at the fund.
Since they dont get back to you and I started going higher up the pecking order right to the MECs office as well as the Director Generals office too.
The emails I send are polite and firm explaining my desperation and my hunger. By that I mean hunger for 3 days and you have to ask your mother on pension to bring you food because you have no money for petrol to get to her.
I am so angry with the uif and wonder if I can open a case of fraud against them for taking my contributions for years and now not paying out.
What do I do [email protected]

Late UIF submission due to being overseas
I need assistance on my declined UIF submission, I worked for a musical African Foot Prints for 6 years, and we were weekly paid for that period, and each pay slip uif was deducted, and we went overseas for 4 years in that period of working for the same company Izinyawo Productions yet we were still payed in the country and they still collected UIF, we always had inconsistent breaks between contracts, sometimes we were layed home for one month sometimes two, but always on contracts to continue, and this inconsistency on my last contract with the delayed my application because I became late to submit my uif. Well i have struggled to appeal for my uif until this year I was told i can actually submit and after decline i can appeal. Kindly advise where i can go if i need help with this issue

Unpaid maternity benefits!!
I applied for maternity benefits on the 18th of April 2016 and it's now October and I haven't received anything. I was told to bring in my documents multiple times as the system wasn't reflecting the UI-19 form but that didn't help. I've been checking week after week and was told an enquiry was put in but there's been no response. This is totally unacceptable, I've been contributing monthly without fail and now it's a hassle to get my money. My number is 0823279843 please I need someone in a higher authority to assist

Maternity leave uif
I applied for my Maternity leave benefits on the 15 July 2016. Was advised to wait for 8weeks for application to be processed. I went to check after 8 weeks was told to check every 10 days. No explanation was given, to say what the delay was for. A few weeks I called them and was advices my application was not assigned to anyone. I have been waiting till today, no follow ups from them and I still haven't received my money. What is the point of paying for uif, when you can't receive the money in the time of need. Please help me, I need you assistance.

Maternity uif
I applied for UIF maternity benefits on the 15June 2016 a month before my baby was born. I received an stating that I will hear from them in 35 days. After 35 days I went to their branch in Qwaqwa, which is where I submitted everything. I was told to give them my baby's birth certificate then I should come back in two weeks if I haven't received any payment. I went after that two weeks and Refilwe Mokoena told me that my UI.19 doesn't appear on the system I should submit it to the person i applied to which is Mrs MR Twala. I did as I was told and she told me to come back after two weeks if I haven't get any payment. Well after two weeks I was there again because I did not get any payment, I went to her again and she told me the very same thing about ui.19 and i decided to give her evething which is (payslip, ui19, and payment schedule) she gave me her numbers and said I should remind her on Friday because their system is down. I called on that Friday she said their system is still down she will call me again, she never called. The same story about my ui.19 for the 4th time yesterday when I went and she told me to call her on the 4th of November. I am going back to work next week and I haven't get any payment I don't even know how am I gonna get to work. Please help

Non payment of maternity benefits/UIF
Case number - 10005040217
I applied for my maternity leave UIF in May through an agency called baby benefits based in Durban. I received a payment of R360.00 in early June. I have yet to receive the rest of my payout. After countless emails / calls and resenting documentation I am now being told that the DOL offices in DBN have been closed down and I can expect payment within another 4-6 weeks MAYBE.
I am totally and utterly disgusted in this shockingly poor service not only from baby benefits but from DOL. No one is willing to give me any information or knows my case at all. It's amazing to me that these benefits come off my monthly salary each month with no hassles but as soon as I apply for these benefits, it's months of back and forth with stories as to why I have not yet received payment.
A month ago I received an sms saying that payment can be expected in 7 to 10 working days, I have yet to receive any payment.
The service at DOL is appalling, your staff are rude and have a "it's not my problem" attitude. How does DOL expect mothers to care for their new babies when they have no money coming in, it's a joke!
Based on how my experiences have gone this far, I won't be surprised if this is read over and ignored too, I've tried every avenue (just short of getting lawyers involved) and thought maybe just maybe someone in DOL will take this seriously.
Please contact me ASAP around my claim and the progress to which it currently stands.
Thank you
Samantha Wirtz

Unpaid maternity uif

CASE NUMBER: 10004690986
ID NO.8301180624086
I desperately need your assistance, I claimed on 1st April 2016 and I had just gotten married and didn’t have my new id as yet. And on the 15th of July 2016 I send my marriage certificate as per request. And then they also requested a bank statement with my new surname I had to apply for a new id of which I send on the 12 September I've sent documents through numerous time. The last update was on 19 Aug 2016 being cancelled by paymaster. I have no feedback, can’t get through to their phone lines and when i do its either get cut off or nobody can tell me what’s going on. The service is very poor. My baby is 7 months already and not one payment has been made and what makes me angry the most is that money is the money that I worked hard for and now i have to beg for it.

Unpaid UIF
Good day
I have applied for my UIF online on the 26 May 2016. I got messages on my phone that everything will be processed within 32 days however afterwards I got a declined notification and I was informed to visit the nearest department and submit my dispute. I went to
Germiston Department of Labour, I was informed that I resigned that is why they could not pay me out. I produced confirmation letter from my previous company on 19th August that states that I did not resign. Every time when I go and ask about the progress of my application they keep on saying come the following week.
No progress up until today as the employees at the department of labour Germiston says nothing they can do for me as the system still shows resigned status even after I submitted my confirmation letter that I did not resign.
Please assist to resolve this matter.

Maternity UIF application
I applied for maternity benefit on 2 December 2015. Was told that the process would take 8 weeks and then I'll have feedback. It is 9 months later and NO FEEDBACK. I've been calling since my application, every time a different story and other time I should call back. Went to their office early September 2016, my details was incorrect, but no one ever advised me of this, I gave them the correct information that same day and system needed to be updated. It's been 4 weeks already and haven't heard anything. Can someone please help?
I'm now in so much debt because of that time I wasn't paid and Dept of Labour couldn't care less about my application.

Maternity UIF
I applied for my maternity UIF on the 2nd of August 2016, I received an SMS stating I would have feedback with in 35 days. To date I have not received any correspondence, I don't even know if my claim has been approved. I tried to call the Benoni branch, they don't answer their phones. I then found an email address for Raj Reddy the regional manager for Benoni, he responded to my email on the 15th of September and advised that his staff would contact me "shortly" with the status of my application. I have since sent him and his staff members that were CC'd into his email, 3 emails to follow up to which not one of them including Raj Reddy have responded.
I also tried to call the UIF call centre. After holding for 31 minutes I hung up as I am using a cell phone. I then emailed the UIF complaints department. Lettie Tlou responded on the 15th of September asking for my ID number in order to follow up on my claim, again I have not heard a word since and I have sent a follow up email.
I find it disgusting that I pay my UIF contributions every month and then have to fight just to get some sort of answer from someone! Surely there are processes and procedures in place to avoid this from happening? I return to work on the 3rd of October after 3 months of maternity leave and I still don't even know if my application has been approved.
My case number is 10004816927, please could SOMEONE respond to me

UIF Payment - a JOKE
It is rather sad that UIF is automatically deducted off our salaries, yet when trying to claim is a painful experience.
I was retrenched at the end of May and it is almost the end of September and STILL NO PAYMENT!!!
Same story, every two weeks stand in a long queue only to be attended to by very unhelpful let alone sympathetic staff to complete the same form EACH TIME AS MY CLAIM HAS NOT BEEN AUTHORISED.
Really after working for over 20 years!!!
This system DOES NOT WORK!!!
NO-ONE TO CALL AND EMAILS ARE NOT RETURNED.
Sadly, I am not the only sad case.
