I submitted my maternity claim forms on 28th April 2016 at maponya, was told to come back after three weeks to check if the money is out but got an sms stating my application was cancelled due to outstanding documents, when I when again, they told me to come back in three weeks again.went back and I was told my application was not scanned to the head office.even today I just came back from the but my application is still pending.this is really frustrating to wake up early in the morning to stand in a long line for nothing. I have been scammed by fake casters that promised me results and get my money trying all my means to save my marriage. i was so despirate to keep my family as my husband wants a divorce. i decided to go spiritual as all i tried was not working. i seek spiritual helps to get things right but all i talked with never did anything for me. i registered for my UIF in March this year then i got paid in April. I went to sign in may there was no money in my account i went back but they did not check what was the problem they let me sign again i waited for two to three weeks still there was no sign of money in my account. I had to call them that is when they checked they told me there was mistake from my previous employer the dates were not corresponding i had to go back to the employer ask them to email my documents to the LABOUR with confirmation letter that they were demanding. but now when i am trying to call the person who was assisting me asking if she received the emails she said she did not but they sent it several times she even started by ignoring my calls said she will call me back. i need to know were do i report this matter because now i received a massage from UIF saying that i owe them and i am not working how will i pay them back because i have a rights for my UIF. my ID is :8112230735081

UIF MATERNITY STILL NOT PAID

I don' t even know where to being. I went to Dep of labour at Orlando in December 2015 to apply for the uif i was told i should come on the 4 of January 2016 as my maternity leave was starting on the 4 jan. Unfortunate i had a baby before time(premature baby) in 30 December 2016.
I then took my documents to Dep of Labour at Orlando on the 13 January 2016 I also took a birth certificate for the child because i knew they will request for that. Then after i left the lab that day i received an sms that i should check after 30 days. After that 30 days i went back to Orlando to check i was advised that their system is slow i must come back after 10 days which i did. Same story after that 10. Then after that i didnt have money for transport to be busy going back. My child is now 6 months and 2 weeks i am even back at work without a cent from uif. Now i am using a phone to communicate with them because i can't take a day off for nothing and go orlando for nothing. So now every time when i call i will be kept on hold and no one will come back to me. I spoke to lady by the name of Salome and she said to me i should send her the birth certificate via email and i did from dey every time when i call she is busy or not there. Then i called Dep labour at braamfotein spoke to Emma which she tried to help me. She told me that she needs to change few things about my start day at work. Then last week i called her she told me they system is off and this week she is on leave she said i should lease with John Moshweu i must call him on Wednesday which i did this morning. That guy was VERY RUDE SHAME he just said to me i need to get papers from my previous company about my maternity leave in 2005. So i wanted to explain to him that the company is no longer dey. He was like sesi in order to help you please get those documents i was so frustrated about his treatment. All this time going up and down i was not told about my 2005 maternity leave after i spoke to almost 7 people from dep labour.


To be honest i am not happy about Dep of labour i feel like i should take this matter maybe to news papers or speak out because the treatment we get it bull. We pay uif every month and this is our monies that we are claiming but to get it its like Dep of Labour its like they are donating to us. I feel like its not fair on a serious note. Why must we go up and down for our monies sweat for our monies just imagine full 4 months without any income relaxing telling yourself that what ever cents you will get from uif will help. Meanwhile that dep labour not even cent they will give you. I feed up and very angry with the service that we get. HAI CHA its too much now. I hope someone will reply to this.

I have applied for maternity Benefits from the 5th of April 2016. Every month I go to labour in brits they tell me it was rejected because the company I work for keeps on declaring my uif as R0.00 and they are not suppose to send anything since it's unpaid maternity leave.I keep on calling at work and explain to them and they said they did not do that.I am a breadwinner, my accounts are in areas,I have to travel back to work from the 22nd of July 2016 I don't have money to go to work since I stayed home with no salary for 4 months😕.

I've been trying to contact the labour department based in Malboro Sandton, North of Johannesburg. I've applied for maternity claim benefits in May 2016 and would like to follow up on my payout but every single day that i call the number that is listed on my application it's either it's engaged or no one answers at all.

This is really frustrating as the I am currently still on maternity leave and have no source of income whatsoever. I really don't know how to handle this situation and would request that someone from this department will take some time to contact me and let me know what's going on with my pay out.

I have been struggling since May 2016 to claim UIF. Then it is this form then that. The last time I was told this is the final UI19 then payment will be made. I submitted it, and it was rejected again!!! I do not know what to do anymore. My payment each month was gladly accepted, but when it comes to the pay out nothing happens.

Hi I did my claim at the durban branch on the 02/06/2016 and all the documents were submitted and verified by the consultants on the same day. I was then told all is in order and given a form to come back the 07/07/2016 to sign for my first payout. However, on the 07/07/2016 I went to the branch joined the queue with my 3 week old baby and was told that I cannot sign today as my application is not approved and they cannot give me a reason why as it was done manually due to system fault on that day when submitting my application. Now I am the breadwinner at home with rent to pay,food and necessities for my newborn and now I am unable to claim my money? I was told to come back on the 14/07/2016 and check but it might not be approved then either. I really don't think this is fair as I paid over my uif benefits each month and declared my salaries to SARS over the years now I am not able to provide for my family due to a SYSTEM FAULT sure such a important and huge department i.e the department of labour should have a process in place for such peoblems in assisting us and sorting out the problem with no/minimal time delay? Please may i get a reaponse to this and some assistance. I AM AT A LOSS NOW!!!

Employers at the department of unemployment insurance fund keep teliing me they cant help me cause of one employer they cant get hold of that I used to work for a few years ago. I did not receive any payslip or any notification that I did pay uif and the lady amits that she didnt take money from our salaries to pay uof ??? am waiting not only for this one companie's money but I have worked for a lot another companys that I know I had a payslip and did pay uif. I wish to advise that my baby was born on 12 December 2014 and to date I have not received one cent, however, I am expected to pay UIF every month and receive no benefits.

They have every excuse in the book not to process the payment. I have sent the relevant documents time and time again and still no response.

Every time I phone they ask for the UI19 and UI7 etc.

I feel that this is unacceptable and urgently require assistance

I sent my application 03/03/2016 to this day this application hasn't been approved, I have been sending documents over and over again, everytime I call I am told it will take 10 days but nothing is happening.

In May they updated the application to completed by accessor but nothing was done when I followed up, it has been 5 months waiting for this claim.

Someone please sort this out.

I applied for uif maternity on the 14th of APRIL 2016 in Malboro Sandton. Was told my application will be completed after 4-6 weeks. I had to call each and every week to do a follow up. One day when i called i was told they never scanned my divorce decree so i have to bring it so it can be captured with the rest of the documents. A week later again was told my application has been declined because the surname on my bank statement is different from the one in ID book. was surprised coz i gave them my divorce decree accompanied by a letter from the bank stating that there is a technical error with the bank but my surname has changed from marital to maidein name. The last application was done last week Firday 24 June 2016. So now m confused what is the delay coz i was told money will be in my account within 7 days. I applied for UIF end of March 2016 at labour centre in Mitchells plain, went back 5 times and on the 4th time i was asked for UI19 form which i had emailed to Peter at the Micthells Plain office. I then called in 3 weeks ago to find out if everything else was sorted and if they needed any further documentation just to be informed that the form has not yet been uploaded, I went in and asked them what was happening, i was then told to bring in a print out of the UI19 form which was given 3 weeks prior. Went to an internet cafe and went back to there offices to hand over a hard copy. Called Labour centre - 0800843843 thrice since then, spoke to Neelandren Govender, Nomkululele Shongwa and Richard Ngwana only to be informed that they need a salary schedule and was told that this will take 2 weeks to upload. I am FURIOUS!!! how long does has this already taken?? not to mention that i have paid UIF every single month for the last 8 years and when i needed at least some of it back to help me pay some overdue (overdue because Ive been waiting for the last almost 4 months now) accounts - I cant even manage to find someone to help, i actually feel so bad that i want to ask them if i can do my own application and help some other people while im at it, never in my life have i ever been so dissapointed in a service. I asked a lady at the labour centre what was going on, how long will the process take and was told " I dont know" and before i could even ask another question - I dont know was already coming out of her mouth, is this the type of service you teach??? because this was certainly not the type of service i was expecting when i gave you my money every month for 8 years!!!. When I resigned due to pressure at my work place in 2010 I was told by dept of labor that I need to find another job even if I work for 3 month my UIF will activated then I can claim all my UIF from all the employers I worked for , I only managed to find employment in May 2014 and worked for 2 and half years now when I went to claim my UIF I am told that I can only get UIF from my last employer and forfeit my 23 years as its been long

I have applied for my UIF in February 2016, I was told to ask my previous employers to email the UI-19 and salary scale to the department. It was done and I went back and check with them if they did receive emails from my employers, yes they received it and they scanned and said everything is fine. They gave me a date to come back in on the 4th of April 2016.

I went back in April at a given date when I got there they said to me, I must come back on the on the 4th or 3rd May without a reason. I asked the lady who was helping that what is the problem as you just gave me another date without even explaining what is wrong with my application. She said there is nothing wrong as my application is still pending, I ask why she said mybe is the system. Is fine I went back at a given date in May when I get there they said to me they need my other employees UI-19 and salary scale as they did not receive them and the guy told me that I was suppopse to get paid so this information delayed my payment I explained to the guy that last month I was here and the lady who was helping me said another story about the system. So now you are telling me to come back in June is fine will be back in June.

I went back in on 2nd of June 2016 and they said they have received my UI 19 and salary scale from my employers, so I would be paid but if I do not receive my payment in 10 days I must come back. Unfortunately I didn't get paid I went back today 27 June 2016 to check what is holding my payment. When I get there I was told to wait on the longest que again just to enquire about the payment really. I refused I requested for the manager I was told the manager was on leave like the last time I was there they said manager is on leave. When I enquire from the woman who told me that my application is fine I must wait for 10 days now she asked me if they receive email and yet she is the one who told me that my application is fine I will get paid. She didn't explain to me why I did not get paid instead she gave me anther date 18 July 2016 to come and sign for the money.

Really the things that are happening in our labour departments are so disgusting and incompetent. Please government must intervene in this matter cause we can't take this anymore the uif money that u deduct from my salary every month as easy as that, but when I'm suppose to get my money I'm suppose to suffer like these. Going back to labour department for months standing in that long que for hours and you walk out not even been helped. We are unemployed for heaven sake and where do we get transport money to go to labour centers and to be told nothing but to come back whenever day of the next month.

This is so rediculars and frustrating please send someone to come and investgate at Mamelodi department of labour we have crise please. And the employees are so rude and unhelpful, what they know is tea time, lunch and walk in the corridors. We need urgernt help! Please respond frustrated and angry.
