Uif rip off
If it's not enough that they messed up my claim for Uif Ella Madingoana now have the decency to discuss me with other clients that goes to the Boksburg labour offices to claim Uif
Hence I still stand by my earlier request that I need a letter that exempt me from ever paying Uif coz not only will I go through the humiliation of not getting paid what is due to me but I will also not be a topic of dicusion between Ella and clients that come to submit forms
She discussed me and said all sorts of things about me yet the so called corrected credits do not include my contribution from Iser n yet she still go on discussing me
As far as I am concerned she can go on discussing me all I want from the Boksburg branch is them to motivate the reason for me asking for a letter that exempt me from ever paying Uif and I believe the recent fold of events makes my request very strong1

Incorrect date capturing resulting in overpayment
I am hoping someone can help me regarding a UIF Claim. I am at my wits end and need to escalate to the highest possible parties about how we struggle to get any assistance for a benefit we have been contributing to.
The department captured my claim dates wrong, they paid me for a period I started working again as opposed to my unemployment period in 2010.
They then picked up their mistake and penalised me as an overpayment. I sent the supporting documents to them ( UI19) forms to show them their error in my dates they captured and they refuse to help me saying I must get my original application forms. I do not have access to these forms as its with one of the division in D.o.L.
I am not getting my current maternity benefits because of this and an employee in the Braamfontein branch keeps dropping the phone in my ear.
Please advise how I can be assisted as an unknown user is closing my appeal on UFiling and I am worried this money has now been used by someone internally.

UIF Claim
Case number : 10003834129
Reinette Scheepers
ID Number : 4611130084080
I have opened a Ufiling account which I am unable to access
Was given a new password by Jane Mashabela but still cannot access my ufiling account
I have sent through all the documents requested and have received a reply from Jane saying that the documents were received
I have called on several ocassions after spending hours holding on only to be told that my UI-19 form has not been received
I sent the form to Jane 3 times
Today I called and was told by a person named Richard that my Company had not registered me with UIF
He was extremely rude to me and slammed the phone down on me
Surely this type of service is unacceptable - It took me 3 weeks of calling every day in March but got no reply at all
Your urgent assistance would be appreciated

Still No Funds after almost 6 months
This is going on forever now, I have been up and down wasting the little finance I had left to go to the Labour Department, sit there for 3 hours and then been told they are off line. Today again I made my way there to for the 3rd time submit my bank documents, can anyone please tell me how long this process will still take, we all are going through this brutality just to get the money that we work for, is there any place where we can actually lodge a complaint and get an answer, cause this is going on forever now. Please if anyone have details kindlly send me a mail on [email protected]. Thanks

Un-Paid Maternity Benefits
I applied for my Maternity benefits on 04 March 2016 via Ufiling. And received an sms on 04 March 2016 @ 14H56 stating "UIF claim received. Progress on claim will be communicated within 35 days. Enquiries contact local Labour Centre. Case No: 10003802710"
they then send me a email stating that they needed the Medical Certificate and Employer Leave Form
because I was already on maternity leave my mother had to fax the required documentation.
from 05 March up until 29 March 2016 the Medical certificate and Employer leave form were faxed a total of 79 times!!!!! Each time it went through successfully. After failing to reach them for an entire month (April) I finally got hold of them today. I spoke to a lady named Winnie and she informed me that the UI19 is outstanding and that I need a UI19 for each company with a termination document from each Company I had worked for. I explained to her that I have only ever worked for one Company and was transferred internally for the last 13 years and the UI19 clearly stated my start of Employment and End (going on Maternity leave) she then gave me her "personal email" to which I had to send the UI19. I was then also informed that it takes 10-15 working days for the UI19 to be captured and the system updated. Then another 35 days for payment. I then asked her how can the Assessor sign off the Claim if the UI19 was outstanding and she could not answer me.
How are new mothers suppose to cope with no income if they can't even get their maternity benefits? I have never claimed UIF in 13 years!!!! My 11 week old child has no milk and one cannot get help from your local clinic if you need formula as they only assist mothers with special medical issues. I need to go to a state hospital, get a letter from a Dr that I can't breastfeed and then a referral for help to the local clinic.
I don't even know if it is worth putting my complaint on this site as I have seen no response from the Dept of Labour. I guess if your not related to one of them they don't give a flying foot if you child starves to death due to hunger.
Totally disappointing!!!!

I retired at end of December 2015 after working since I was 17!! That is 49 years of service and paying UIF - I never claimed before but went to the Department of Labour in February 2016. After standing in a queue for 5 hours they checked the forms and found some info missing missing and I was told to come back and to make sure I am at the offices at 7 am. Once again stood in queue for 5 hours and when I got the person that was assisting was told once again that I need a letter from my employer (the company changed their name). Once again I left with nothing being done and got all the documents together and once again went back at 7am. Another 5 hours later the forms were finally accepted. I SPECIFICALLY asked the person to check and make sure that I have a valid claim as I do not want to waster either my time or their time. I was told there is no problem the claim must just be processed and I was told to come back at the end of March. I went back at the date specified, once again 5 hours later I was told there is nothing yet. I was told to come back at the end of April, went back and the same thing, they told me they have a back log and I must come back at the end of May 2016. This conversation was not even 20 seconds long, this after I once again spent 6 - 7 hours at the Dept of Labour. On Friday evening 8 May 2016 I received an SMS telling me that me claim has been rejected!!! Hello it took them all this time to tell me my claim was rejected, no reason, no nothing. I must now go back again, wait 6 - 7 hours to find out why the claim was rejected - of course I want to know, afterall they have 49 years' worth of UIF contributions and I am entitled to an explanation. Surely your department cannot just take contributions for years and years and years and then just reject the claim for no reason or explanation.

claim rejection
On the 31/5/2013 I was retrenched after 13 years employment. When I claimed UIF apparently only the last 4 years (30.10.2009 to 30.04.2013) of my 13years was considered and that entitled me to 238 days, however, I was only entitled to 213 days because even though I submitted my application within the 6 month grace period, I was penalized for not submitting it sooner (NO ONE informed me of that) and to top things off I was given 209 days of my so called 213 days. Firstly I am curious as to what happened to my other 9 years of UIF contributions seeing only 4 years were taken into account and secondly, why rob me of 4 days? I didn't take this further at the time because I gave birth so was rather preoccupied. Which brings me to my COMPLAINT!! I started a new job 1 year later and was employed for 10 months only. My contributions were R94pm. When I tried claiming for that UIF, my application was refused and I was told I have to wait until 2017. Apparently there's a 4 year waiting period between claims. You really have to dig deep to find that legislation... Needless to say I don't accept that rubbish. To my understanding the point of making monthly uif contributions is to assist one to survive and to find new employment. I stopped work in August 2015 and I'm still unemployed. Reason being I have no other income, I could not afford the internet cafe to search for work. I missed 2 interviews because I never had money to travel to them. I have 2 children. How the hell am I expected to look after them if I am blocked from drawing my own money? I've on more than one occasion gone without food because my kids were not sufficiently satisfied. What was the point of paying that R94pm? Who actually benefited from that contributions because I certainly haven't. I've spoken to numerous people but to no avail. Even spoke to Dorothy Boikhutso but she just passed the buck. NO ONE CARES!! I will take this to the papers, public protector whoever is willing to listen and DO something about this. I'm sick and tired of being treated as rubbish just because you have a job and I don't. You stole 9 years of my monthly uif contributions from 9/2000 to 9/2009 and you stole 21 days when I did eventually submit a claim. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Just grant me what I'm entitled to for which I have paid R94pm for the 10 months I was employed. I can be contacted on 0817858706 / [email protected]. My I.D 7710180075084.
P.s. Please don't tell me I have to go to the Cape Town branch because whatever money I do get from begging I would rather spend it on buying bread than paying taxi fare.
Hope to hear some good news soon.
Thank you

Six Months without any payment
Applied in January as I was retrenched in December. Every time there is something else. First the application, then paperwork needed, then paperwork got lost, re-submitted all the documents now they have captured the wrong employment details on my profile and therefor my application has been rejected, after a week they managed to get feed back from the employer to confirm I never work there, now they are waiting for the correct details to be captured again. After another two weeks no capturing and my bank details is no to old and I need to re-submit that. How long is this going to carry on? Its money we worked for and now no one seems to care at all.
Please help.

UIF Maternity claim
DELAYED CLAIM : CASE #10003482961
I submitted my UIF maternity claim on 14 Jan 2016 and to this day my claim has not been processed. I initially got an SMS saying my claim has been received and I will get a response within 35 working days. That came and went still no response. I had to go back to my branch with a new born to go and enquire about my claim and have since been sent from pillar to post. I was informed that my claim was rejected because I had not submitted a birth certificate for my baby. I then resubmitted the birth certificate and still waiting on a response. I'm extremely desperate to get the money paid in order to get the necessary things for my baby. It has been 3 and a half months since I submitted my forms. I seriously am desperate and need the money.

UIF Claim 10003244686
I applied for UIF last year November and I waited Dec, Jan, Feb, and during March it was declined.I have been sending e-mails, visited 2 branches that couldn't help me because the application was submitted on-line. Based on the letter I received in April I was overpaid by 2 months last year Jan and Feb 2015 and I must pay within 30 days.....1) I was unemployed July and August 2015 and no UIF was paid to me 2) I have been unemployed since November 2015 and even now I'm still unemployed. In essence I have been unemployed for bloody 5 months excluding July 2015 and August 2015 - In total 7 months and you send me a letter threatening me with legal action.
I have been paying UIF for years. Isn't it common sense to check how much I paid for all the years and take out the two months overpayment and pay the remaining 5 months and more until my contributions are paid out in full.Submitting my application on-line was a nightmare. Making calls to the call centre that never picks up phones....another nightmare.Surely you are all aware that people who phone regarding UIF are unemployed and are relying on their contribution to buy food, support family, post applications.WHERE THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET MONEY TO BUY AIRTIME AND PHONE THAT USELESS CALL CENTRE - THE PHONES KEEPS ON RINGING AND NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE.
WE ARE BEING TREATED LIKE WE ARE INTERRUPTIONS IN YOUR BUSY LIVES YET WE ARE THE REASON YOU HAVE JOBS.BATHO PELE SE FOOT.Its difficult enough without a job - without money that we own not borrowing from your pockets - its Madness BULL.You must all learn to put yourself in other people shoes maybe you will feel the pain and frustrations that we go through.

UIF Maternity benefits still not paid
To whom this may concern...my cell number 078 136 8279.
I am utterly disgusted with the Department of Labour at Maponya Mall as well as Orlando West offices.
I applied for my benfits in January and to date nothing has been received.
Bella who was the claims officer at the time assured me that all is in order with the intial application
She did not require the birth certificate or my marriage certificate after asking her if she needs it. Two weeks after my application I received an sms that my UI19 and medical certificate was outstanding which has been submitted.
I then resubmitted again.
Since then I have been to Maponya mall at least 20 times but to date nothing has been done as now I have to keep submitting my UI19.
Humphrey who is one of the managers at Maponya should not be in a client centric position as he has no way of speaking to anyone! I have now taken the initiative to go to Orlando where the documents are scanned and I have been liasing with Sipho Mthetwa but to date nothing has been done as I have resubmitted the same documents over and over again. I need my funds paid into my account immediately!!!!I am sick of every ones incompetency and lack of urgency!!!I have been very patient for almost 5 months now!!!Can I please get feedback urgently as I will need to take this to the media if nothing has been done!!!

non payment of benefits
Hi, I applied for UIF benefits within 5 months of my company going into liquidation. First month, I signed and received my benefit within 5 days. Absolutely no problem! However month two, I signed but no money! It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to anyone on the phone..1.5hrs of listening to music and still no help. This is a very expensive exercise and I'm unemployed! I just want to know WHY I haven't been paid.

deathbenefit claim not getting any attention
After my husband died last year 26th April, I went to the Labour Department beginning of June and forms were filled in, I was told to come back next month. From there on I went back every month with no results .
December I was told that the Department was running short in workstaff due to the holiday.
Lindie at Nigel branch told me every time I have phoned her that she herself will go to Germiston and look for the file. With no results. Eveytime each week from then on I had called her and she told me every time that nothing has been done to the claim. She has given me the telnr of one of the Directors. I have phoned him and he said somebody would call me bàck. It was two weeks now and still NO ONE has phoned me back. Yesterday I have sent an email to Peter (his name was mentioned at complaints) but still no reply.
I think that this is no way to handle anyone. As my husbands estate is not yet handled off, I am depending on this claim for responsibilities I need to take care off. But no one at the Labour Department seem to care about any of this. His I'd was 6801035014088.
Can ANYONE please call me back by 0825334371 or email me by above email.
