Purchased a Sears Elite Bottom freezer fridge, largest and top of the line at the time. $3,000 July 2015. It quit cooling top and bottom July 2018. Service tech showed 2 weeks later stating he's the only fridge tech they have in our large area. Just as the husband thought, the compressor is out BECAUSE the coil line lays in the drip pan and rusted!!! Thus all of the freeon leaked out! The freeon and the oil in the freeon is what lubricates the compressor! So because some LG Engineer thought this was either a good option or would produce more service calls and more income or he didn't even look at the possibilities of the line rusting through! Of course the tech didn't have parts on his truck and is scheduled to return in another 2 wks!! I think this totally unacceptable for a Sears top of the line fridge purchase of the $3000! I told the tech they should have to rent us a fridge until the repair is satisfactory...
